The sizing is about one size small. The dress is pretty short so you might be tugging at it all night (if you get the wrong size especially). I wore this to a Brazilian themed event and got lots of compliments and definitely stood out. The dress seems to be made very well and was quite comfy.

I'm glad I listened to the previous reviews and went a size up on my back up; this dress does run small. Also the zipper can be a little tough to get up. Don't get discouraged though; once the zipper is fully up, it fits fine. I wore this for a New Years Eve party I hosted with black tights and gold flats. I wouldn't recommend this dress when your running around, fetching extra glasses or platters, but for an event when you're not doing the work, it's absolutely stunning.

This dress is way small. I went two sizes up and could not fit into it. Not just, oh it's a bit tight, it was more like I can't breathe and the hem is at my butt. It was disappointing because it's a beautiful dress.

I'm 5'10 so it was a bit short; I don't care about that but some might. I looked at the reviews and saw that it ran small so I ordered a 6 & 8. I definitely should have ordered even a 10 because the 8 was still a bit tight. I ended up not wearing it to the wedding (that I rented it for) because I thought sitting might be an issue. I loved it but definitely go up at least 2 sizes!

I rented the 2 and 4 of this dress for a date night. I actually wanted the 0 and 2 but the 0 wasn't available... which turned out to be very fortunate! The zipper on this dress only goes to the waist so if you have a bigger bottom half, good luck fitting it into the dress. I barely got the 2 over my butt but once it was on it was fine. Certainly snug but it held everything in and looked really good! Wore this with black tights and black wedge booties and got a ton of compliments from strangers at the restaurant! I'd recommend this dress, but definitely size up!!

It's not something i would normally consider wearing, but i decided to go for it anyway because it has such a nice shape. It's definitely for girls who have smaller hips and bums thats for sure. I usually wear a 2 or a 4 depending on the designer and this 6 was SO tight around my hips and flattened my bum a bit but it wasn't awful. Hard to sit it and would be difficult to dance in as well. But overall, i thought it was the perfect dress for my Christmas party.

Beautiful dress and got tons of compliments at the wedding! The top of the dress runs true to size and was a good fit for my top, but the bottom half of the dress around the hips and caboose were very tight! Keep this in mind for those who have a little more junk in the trunk.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this dress is not good for hourglass types. I usually wear a 6 or 8, and ordered a 10 and a backup 12. The 12 was still very small. Such a great looking dress, I would have loved to wear it :(

A beautiful dress that definitely stands out!! The major con is just that it's super short. I'm 5'7" and wore a size 10, and it barely covered my butt. Still, with tights it was manageable, but I could not move very freely.

I didn't end up wearing this dress. The 6 was way too tight and basically smooshed my chest into a uni-boob. It wasn't flattering on my hips either. It is probably best for straight and narrow bodies. The material didn't look very expensive either.

I love the color and embroidery of the dress. I was incredibly excited when I opened up the package. I had read the previous reviews and orders a 4 and 6, even though I'm usually a 2. Both were too small. I was able to zip the 6, but way too fitted to be appropriate to wear. I would consider myself skinny with some slight hips, which is where I had the trouble. I would recommend renting if you are not curvy or have an hourglass figure. If not then absolutely rent because the dress is gorgeous!

First dress rental from RTR. I am not a small girl at 5'5 and 150lbs. I was really nervous to rent this dress due to size reviews. But fell in the love with the color and style. I ordered a 10 and a 12 (normally wear an 8) The 12 fit (wore spanx to flatten post babies tummy) and I was in LOVE. It is very short so I wore it with black tights and black ankle boots. My husband adored it and I received many compliments at the outdoor wedding we attended. The process was a breeze Thanks RTR I will be a returning customer!

It was supposed to be one of my birthday dresses I'm usually a 6 and I decided to go a little bigger because of the reviews and the recommendations and the 8 AND 10 didn't even fit.... I suggest (at least) 3 sizes bigger.. I shudder to think what a 0 looks like and who can actually wear that, maybe an 8 year old? I really love the pattern and style of the dress, it has a vintage appeal to it. However, the sizing is why I gave it 3 stars. I ordered up as others suggested, and ended up wearing a size bigger in order for the dress to fit around hips/butt area, but the chest/shoulders area of the dress was slightly too big. This dress is suited for someone with tiny curves, and has absolutely no give/stretch to it. In fact, leaning forward in the cab to pay, I ended up with a small rip next to the side zipper, giving physical proof that this dress is tight and has no wiggle room. So, I actually never was really able to wear the dress :(

I LOVED the picture of this dress and was really bummed when I couldn't wear either size I ordered. I do not have large hips and even the larger size I ordered (4) wouldn't go down over them. On top of that, the top of it felt big on that same size, so going a size up would not have worked. Just an odd fit all around. The material was different than I expected too, it's a lot thinner and less structured than I thought it would be.

Also wish I would have known about the "free credit" only applying if all dresses don't work. I normally wear a zero or a 2. The other reviews said this dress ran small, so I ordered the 2. In the end, it fit in the shoulders and bust, but was way too tight in the butt. It didn't really even fit around my butt to be honest. But the material was pretty, the shape was cute, and I wish I would have rented the size 4.

I normally wear a 0 or a 2 but based on other reviews, I ordered the 2 and the 4. I could just barely fit into the 2, but decided to wear the 4 because it was more comfortable. I added a wide black belt to add definition at the waste though, because the cut is a little strange, like bigger on top than on the bottom. So if you are say a C-D cup with no hips, this dress will probably work for you. It's not the kind of dress you can put on and forget about, but you will definitely stand out in it.

This dress is absolutely beautiful, but definitely runs small. I rented an 8 and a 10 but normally wear a 6--both fit, but because i was going to a house party i wanted to be a little more comfortable and went with the 10. Very, very pretty, perfect for a holiday party (especially when most people chose red). the fabric is itchy, as other reviewers suggested. However, the gold threading really stands out and glitters slightly. nice simply, flattering cut, particularly in the waist. I would rent this again in a heart beat.

This dress has SO MUCH POTENTIAL!! The pattern is beautiful the material is amazing and there were so many things I liked about the dress except the fit. I am usually a 4 and I chose the 6 because of the reviews that it runs small. It was way too small in weird places. If you are super skinny and/or have a "ruler" body type (straight up and down) and have narrow hips and a smaller chest, go ahead and rent it because on the right person this dress will look fabulous!! I just wish it worked for me :( If I ever see this dress on sale in a size 10 I would consider buying it and then having a tailor alter it down to fit me, I really did like the dress that much HOWEVER I cannot recommend this dress unless you are a toothpick.

i'm 5'0, 105 lbs, and am curvy for my height. based on other reviews I rented sizes 2 and 4, since i'm usually a 0-2. i expected to have to use the size 4, since others talked about how snug it was. the 4 fit my (big) bum and hips better, but was loose up top, which is surprising, because i'm smaller on bottom than on top, even though i'm curvy in general for my height (size 25 jeans, but sometimes wear a size small on top). i ended up wearing the size 2 because it fit me on top correctly, which worked out fine, the bottom was just extra snug. i'm so short, and i thought the size 2 fell to just the right length, i can't imagine this working on very tall girls, although i noticed the size 4 was longer, so if you are tall and not stick thin, length might not be a problem :) Felt like the center of attention wearing this out in Aspen. Got a lot of looks all night! Wish I could buy!

I am a big fan of the overall look of this dress. However, I wore it to a work event and didn't feel comfortable taking off the long cardigan I wore with it until people (including myself) had a couple of drinks. It's just really short, even though I'm not very tall and wore it with opaque tights, but if I wasn't at a work event, I would have been much more comfortable and totally in love.

This dress is a great length for petite women, and I loved the colors. I would say overall this runs true to size because the top runs large but the bottom runs slightly small. I am petite, not "curvy" but not straight and narrow either, just somewhere in the middle, maybe even a little top-heavy. The size 0 was perfect for my upper body but I could not pull it over my hips. I had to wear the size 2 which fit my hips OK, still more tight than I'd hoped, but the top part was more loose than I'd hoped. I didn't have a backup so I still wore it, and got lots of compliments, all from men. Go figure.

Wore this dress for NYE, the top fit great and wasn't itchy or bothersome at all. The only issue I had was that bottom hem line was extremely small compared to the rest of the fit. I won't lie, I have very muscular thighs and short tight dresses sometimes are tighter on me than most, but never this bad. Still wore the dress out, still could dance and do all the other necessaries.

I rented this dress as my second option for New Year's Eve. I am 5'4", 130lbs, and a very proportionate figure, and the 8 didn't even fit my hips. I wear a 4 generally. The fabric has no give and it's deifnitely cut for someone who has a very straight figure. Looks very cute on the model but perhaps it's not as RTW as it appears online.

I rented this dress for semi-formal in a size 2. I am normally a size 0-2 but because of all the reviews saying it runs small, i ordered a 2 and a 4. Like the others said, the hips are very tight. I expected this to be like a cute shift dress almost. It ended up being a very body con fit which definitely hugged my curves. The 4 was too big and looked awkward on me, but the 2 was pretty snug. It wasn't uncomfortable, I was just not expecting it to be so body con. Other than the fit I think the dress is gorgeous and got so many compliments on it. I paired it with the Roza pumps from Sam Edelman and they complimented the dress so well. Overall I loved this dress!!

After reading the reviews I ordered 2 sizes up. That still didn't cut it. Way too tight. Loved the dress, sucks I wasn't able to wear it.

I was so excited to wear this dress to a friend's wedding but unfortunately I couldn't even pull it down! I had to jump around pulling at it to get it over my butt and when I did it gave me the most unflattering smushed butt ever! The top fit perfectly fine and I don't have disproportionately large hips. It just wasn't made to fit a normal sized person's body. I do not recommend this dress!

This dress is absolutely stunning, however it was too small and I could not wear it. I usually wear a 0 or a 2, and the 2 barely fit around my hips. The 4 would have probably worked better for me. So bummed :(
