Fabulous fit. The stretchy material is very comfortable, yet there is enough structure in the bust to make the dress very flattering. My only complaint is that the lining tended to show on the bottom when the top layer of the dress (the lace) moved up a little. Overall, a beautiful fit.

I rented this dress for a black tie event in Manhattan and could not have felt more stunning. The minute I walked out my door I received compliments from random people on the street. When I got to my event, even amongst a sea of elegant dresses, I still felt like I stood out. I've never felt like I've turned so many heads in my life and I've never received as many compliments on a dress before! The dress is extremely beautiful in photos and in person. The fit was perfect though the zipper was a little difficult because of the lace detailing. The built in slip is form fitting but keeps everything in place, though I would still recommend wearing some kind of bra underneath for extra support (particularly true if you're bustier). One can wear a regular bra, but I found that strapless looked a little nicer. Anyway, once it's on, you'll find that the dress is also amazingly comfortable! Very stretchy fabric and you never feel constrained. I also got the regular length, which I was expecting to be much longer on me (I'm 5'5"), but it was actually nice because I got to wear flats and feel even more comfortable for the entire night. If you want to wear heels (but trust me, you'll still feel and look stunning in flats) and are about my height or taller, I would consider getting the longer length. In addition to this dress, I rented the "Dress Me Up Bracelet" from Cara Accessories and wore Nicole Miller's "Southern Plantation Earrings," which I didn't have to rent because I was able to purchase them at a Rent the Runway sample sale in NYC!

Stretchy lace made it fit like a glove, discreet slip underneath kept it looking respectable. Length was perfect for my 5'6" with heels. comfortable to dance all night long in!

It was absolutely perfect! I am normally a size 0 but all they had left for my date was a size 2. It fit like a glove! It was so beautiful and different than any other prom dress. I got compliments all night!

I visited RTR at their NY Showroom and despite a long list of dress requests, this dress was recommended to me. I typically would not wear black lace (too cliche...) but as soon as I put this number on; I was sold. The fit is amazing due to the stretch in the lace; it wears like a long nightgown but one to wear to the most sophisticated event. the length was the perfect proportion. All night my friends were complimenting me on my dress and men were likewise intrigued. It was easy to dance and move. I would highly, highly recommend anyone to be tempted by this gown.

This is an absolutely stunning dress that I hope to rent again! It is so comfortable, the fabric doesn't wrinkle so it looks great the entire night, and it has a nice stretch so that I could eat a full meal and not worry about a thing! It is incredibly elegant and timeless. There is intricate detailing in the lace, and I love the unique delicate cap sleeves. I definitely recommend the longer length for taller ladies - I only wore 3" heels so that the length was right. It's the kind of dress that flatters all body types. I loved this dress. It was so comfortable and flattering. I ordered the 6 and the 8 and both fit perfectly but the 8 was a better length with my heels and gave my chest some breathing room. I had strangers coming up to me all night complimenting the dress. I would totally rent this again.

It is so comfortable and I was able to wear a regular black bra with it (which is necessary for my large bust size). The length was great and I wore about 2in heels with it. The compliments were plentiful and it was a perfect style for my friend's black tie wedding. I highly recommend it for any curvy woman!

This was truly a beautiful dress. The detailing of the lace was amazing and I got compliments all night long! :) Very form fitting and comfortable.

The fit was great, it really hugs your curves in all the right ways. The lace overlay makes the dresses fitted style a bit more forgiving than your average form fitting gown. I absolutely loved wearing this gown!

This dress was actually my third back up option because my original dress was unavailable. This dress looks SO much better in real life especially you have some curves!! I attended a black tie event with about 700 women all wearing evening gowns, and I was getting compliments all night long! The lace details is gorgeous, it looks very expensive. I am almost 5'8'' AND I was wearing 4 inch heels but there were still few extra inches left at the bottom, it looked amazing. This dress hugs your body and makes your butt and bust look very sexy. I am so happy that the other dress didn't work out because this dress was such a success! It's pretty stretchy so I would recommend getting a size down if in doubt.

I wore this dress to a Juvenile Diabetes Gala. Of all the dresses I've worn in my lifetime, there isn't one thing I would change about this dress b/c there wasn't one thing that didn't fit perfectly about it. It fit like a glove and was super easy to wear. I wore the 0Regular with 4in black patent leather peep toe shoes and silver sparkling accessories. I got comments anywhere from I looked like a porcelain doll to I could be a character in the Great Gatsby. I would definitely rent this dress again. My friend also did RentTheRunway for this event and is with me in one of the pictures.

Great dress, super easy to move in, has a bit of stretch to it, incredibly comfortable... I didn't want to take it off! Wore it to a formal event that included dinner--was able to eat a full meal and dance and looked amazing the entire time! ALSO: Was being approached by at least three random women who just LOVED the dress and had to tell me! Would love to rent this dress again in a heartbeat. Fit note: I usually wear a 4, and ended up wearing the 6. The 4 could have worked, it just would have been a little tighter in the thigh-area (but maybe that's just me and not the dress). LOVED IT!

It was my boyfriend's first time being able to attend a Marine Corp Ball with a date (missed his last chance because of being in Afghanistan) and my first experience with such an event. Needed something attractive, elegant; I needed a long dress. I am 5'11". Despite designers using people with my dimensions to sell their clothing, they rarely seem to make floor length dresses long enough for us. HOWEVER. In ballet flats, this just touched the ground on me. First long dress I've ever been able to wear! Also, the pattern is flattering to the stomach, it hugged everything nicely. I don't have much cleavage so it couldn't do much for that, but really flattering neckline anyway. Also, very easy to move in; we were able to dance no problem. The dress got tons of compliments, absolutely perfect for the evening, my boyfriend was blown away and so were all of friends. This gorgeous gown fit my daughter like a glove! It was absolutely STUNNING. She said it was very comfortable to dance and sit in. She is 5'3 and 110 pounds so we ordered a 0L because she loves HIGH heels (4+ inch she wore here). She honestly couldn't have been more beautiful, the process of renting the dress was so easy to do and she was excited when the box arrived. We will be renting again! I am 5'5 1/2", 113lbs, and typically a 0-2 depending on the designer. I was looking for a dress for an evening/formal wedding. Because of the suggested fit and length posted on the dress specs online as well as the Customer Service gal's input, I ordered the 0L, and the 2L as my backup seeing that I was planning on wearing a 4" heel. The dresses arrived in a very timely fashion. Once I tried my go-to size 0, I realized it was a good 3" too long and it was scurrying on the floor. No bueno, BUT lo and behold!, RTR to the rescue. I called them first thing the next morning and geez-louise, talk about amazing service, taking care of you first, and making you feel that it's all going to be OK. They sent me a size 0R for next day delivery and WA-LA! It was PERFECT! It's very nicely fitted, hugs your curves (big or small -mine being small) has a beautiful neckline (I wore a padded black bra with clear straps, the cap sleeves are fab, and the hubster (who was in the wedding party and had to wear a tux) loved this dress on me. Now, let me tell you something: I think most gals at the wedding got the "Lace Dress" memo, because there were maaaaany gals wearing lace. HOW-EVERRRRR, this little number was still able to steal the show that evening. For real. I got three "best dressed" comments (from ladies and gents), and maaaany others came to tell me how amazing this dress is. It really is. It's comfortable, it moves with you, the design is unique and incredibly beautiful. Oh, one tiny thing: see that nude 'panel' that goes from top to bottom in the front of the dress by your little belly pooch? OK, it may kinda highlight the girly poochie, so you may find yourself sucking it in whilst walking by the masses to get your glass of wine. Just a little tip. But who cares!! You're gonna look HOT regardless! A seriously amazing dress -so glad I picked this one-, customer care is ridiculously fab, and I can't wait for another event to rent from RTR again.

I rented this gown for a formal gala at a conference. I love that I can have my rentals shipped direct to my hotel! This was a very comfortable gown with a little bit of stretch, which makes it pretty forgiving too. It was not too revealing, very elegant, and I got a ton of compliments. It was also great for a quick change--I was in meetings until 30 minutes before I had to be at this event, and literally changed in the restroom next to the ballroom! Would rent this one again.

I had a baby 4 months ago, so my body has changed a lot, but this dress was extremely forgiving, and the stretchy material made it feel like it fit perfectly everywhere. I was so comfortable, and also was able to wear a regular black bra under the dress. I'm about 5'5", and wore really tall heels, about 4.5", and the dress was just the tiniest bit too long. I received so many compliments on the dress. I really wish I had somewhere to wear this every day.

If you have curves, this dress is for you. The stretchy material is comfortable and forgiving and the design of the lace trims your figure and make you look like the epitome of Woman. I love this dress! I got so many compliments I wish I owned it for real!

Being on the small side and not one for wearing 4-inch heels, I was worried the dress would be too long - but it was just right with a 2 1/2 inch platform heel. I couldn't have been happier and in fact I was tempted to ask Rent the Runway if I could purchase this dress. But this process was so easy -- why buy!

I wore this to a fundraising gala and I've lost 40-lbs and became a widow since last attending this function two years ago. The dress arrived on time, as described (I was worried about wrinkles, but it hung out with no problem). It was so gorgeous and I received compliments all night long from the women and the men. The 8 fit but I felt self-conscious with the way it clung so closely, so I wore the 10. It was super comfortable, too. One issue I had was with the zippers--on both dresses the zippers were very difficult to operate (both on me and the hangars) and I needed someone else to zip me in and out. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back to RTR!

This was the perfect dress for the Ball that I was attending. The height was good for the three inch heels I was wearing and the dress was very comfortable. We ended up on the dance floor for hours and this dress was so much fun to jump around in. I loved it!

I wore this to a formal Army function. It was amazingly comfortable and a woman I'd never met came up to tell me, "You're officially the best dressed woman here." I am 5'8" and weigh 122 pounds. I ordered the 2L and 4L. At first, I thought I'd wear the 4L. At the last minute I tried the 2L and it fit even better. So, I would suggest ordering your true size and one size down. This dress works better with a tighter fit and stretches beautifully. Also, the 4L was a bit long, but the 2L was the perfect length. I wore 3 inch heels. Everything about this dress just worked. I don't have a big bust, and the dress fit fine. I think it will work for any sized bust, which is nice. I have a feeling I'll be renting this dress again! The service was great. This was actually my back-up dress that I ordered. I LOVED the stretchy fabric because it afforded for ultimate comfort. I chose to wear Spanx under it because I'm a curvy girl, but you could seriously get away with your favorite briefs if you wanted. I would suggest wearing a shelf or demi-cut bra as the neckline is pretty low. The size was generous (I wear a 6 in well-fitting jeans) and fit perfectly, even on length despite my small stature. I wore 2.5'' heels. I would wear this dress 100 more times. TRY IT!

I ordered this dress for my husband's brigade ball. I am 5'9 and 145 lbs so I ordered a 6L and 8L. They both fit perfect but the 8 was just a little loose so I ended up going with the 6L. I was able to wear 2 inch heals with it and you could only see my feet when I walked. My husband was stunned and loved how beautiful yet sexy it looked on. The lace part of the dress would shift a little which I would adjust but other than that it was very comfortable. I got an abundance of compliments all night and would recommend this dress over and over!

I'm a major gift fundraiser and wore this dress at our gala. I worked the entire night greeting celebrities and major donors with confidence and comfort. I received compliments the entire evening and the next day.

My first experience with RTR was kind of scary! A short I helped produce was nominated for an Oscar and it was my first time going! I had reserved a Reem Acra dress a month and a half before the ceremony, had everything planned, shoes, clutch, hair, make-up etc. And RTR told me 2 days before that the dress was not available!! All my worst nightmares came true and I was pretty upset! To make up for it, their stylist said I could choose any dress regardless of price, but the dress I had reserved and paid for was the most expensive one, so I was pretty upset! In the end I got a dress that fit in time for my event and scrambled to make everything else work. And RTR graciously refunded all of my money for the trouble caused. I'm usually a size 4, and since it was so last minute, they didn't have that size available, so I asked them to ship the 2L and the 6R. I was worried about the length, since I'm not that tall, but the 2L was actually perfect with my 3" heels. I tried both of them on, and either one could have worked. The 6 didn't even feel that much bigger than the 2 because they are both so form fitting. Either one would have worked! I ended up wearing the 2. The nice part is you can wear a normal bra with this dress. And it's super comfortable! Anyway, I felt beautiful, and got lots of compliments! The night was amazing! Glad RTR came through in the end!

I wore this for a military ball, it was different from what everyone else wore.I loved that it was classy, but yet sexy. I received so many compliments on this dress, people I didn't even know were coming up to me just to comment on the dress! I felt AMAZING in it, so much so, that I didn't want to send it back.

I wore this dress to my boyfriend's work function, a black tie affair for his law firm. It was a great night, and everything about this dress was perfect. I was worried that I would have a hard time finding a dress that was not too long as I usually have to get dresses hemmed, but the R was exactly right. It fit like it was custom made for me and was comfortable, too. I can't say it enough - I loved it!

This was just the perfect dress for a formal Oscars benefit gala. The 10 fit like a glove except in the chest, which is not unusual for me. I was a little worried about having an accidental Hulk moment if I breathed in too deeply. The 12 was a bit big, but a little extra room is preferable to pancake boob. It might run slightly small since 10s are usually fine for me. I got multiple comments throughout the night on how pretty it was and I definitely felt like the best dressed person there! It's also surprisingly comfortable, which is always a plus. The length was perfect with heels. There were a couple of loose threads that needed trimming, but otherwise the dress was in great shape. I finished the look off with the Adrienne Landau Black Marabou Capelet. It was a. lovely and b. surprisingly warm for a winter night event.

Beautiful and comfortable, you will not stop being complimented on this gown. It hugs your body without making you feel exposed. I have an athletic build and a rectangular body shape. This dress made me look like I actually had CURVES. Highly recommend this gown. Not one bad thing to say about it.

This dress was actually my second choice due to an amazing service recovery by Rent the Runway- the dress I originally ordered wasn't returned in time. Ladies- if you're hesitant about ordering a dress because of the possibility of not having something perfect for your big event, don't be! I had three beautiful designer dresses to choose from, and I have been singing RTR's praises ever since! This dress runs true to size, and I was able to wear a black lace strapped bra instead of going strapless for the evening.

This was the most comfortable dress. It has a stretchy lace that made it easy to move around and sit down. I wore 4" heels and the length was perfect for my 5'6" frame. I was able to wear a black lace bra with no part of it showing. I would rent this again in a heartbeat! I typically wear a size 8, but went with the size 10 because I didn't like the way that the back puckered at the top on the smaller size.

I loved this dress! Not only does it look elegant and sophisticated, but it is beyond comfortable at the same time. The stretchy fabric makes this body hugging style an easy fit.

Wore this dress to a formal event and felt like the belle of the ball. Fit was snug, but did not leave me feeling insecure. Love, love, love the cap sleeves and the wide neckline - why don't more designers cut this way? Paired it with a crystal bib necklace, dangle earrings, and a gorgeous Carlos Falchi clutch (also RTR). Highly recommended! ;)

I typically wear a 10 in dresses. I only could give this a 3 star because RTR wasn't able to send me a 12 which I'm pretty confident would have fit. So I wasn't able to wear it. I was, however, able to get a second style for about $60 extra in lieu of the 2nd size. The dress is gorgeous - beautiful lace detail and relatively light weight. It also hugs all the curves. I'll definitely try to get the 12 for the next formal event. Overall RTR experience was great - delivery was right on time, and the dress is all ready to put on. Will definitely use RTR again.

This is a wonderful dress for petite girls. It has structure and stretch and allows your figure to show but not too much. I wore 4" heels and the dress just reached the floor. I received compliments all night! Thank you RTR.
