I loved this dress! It's perfect for an hourglass figure - hugs in all the right places. My only complaint would be that the front of the dress folds down and shows the lining. Other than that, it was perfect! It was so comfortable, I could have slept in it after dancing all night. I would highly recommend this dress.

Great dress but it was longer than the previous reviews stated. I am 5'3 and had 4" heels, but the dress dragged. I had to lift it up all night so I would not trip. I rented a size 4 and a 6 as a back up. The 4 fit perfectly, however the zipper was getting stuck where the seams for the top met the seams for the shirt. I tried the 6 and it was a little loose, but wearable. Otherwise, the dress looked amazing.

Elegant and flattering black gown

This is a great dress! I wore it to a black tie wedding and it was perfect for the occasion. the dress is very fitted from mid-thigh up, so it hugs your body and keeps everything in place. I got the 6 and the 8 as a backup, but the material is stretchy so either size fit and I went with the 6. No real qualms and it looks exactly as you would expect and can see in the plethora of reviews. I'm 5'9'' and I wish it had been a bit longer. I had brought an unexciting pair of 3.5'' heels to wear hoping they wouldn't be visible but they were so I had to borrow a pair of nicer shoes. I ended up switching to flats during the dancing and it was a perfect length for that. The length wasn't a dealbreaker and I feel like this style works okay being an inch or two off the ground, but I do wish it was a tad longer.

The lace hugs in all the right places but the dress is structured in such a way that spanx is not necessary. I'm tall and the dress (8L) hit me right on the tops of my feet so with heels it was a little bit off the ground. However with this particular dress, that space works. I felt like a sexy flamenco dancer. Rent it.

I usually wear a 4-6 but after reading the reviews of this dress, I decided to chance it and order a 2 and a 4. The 2 ended up fitting because it had a bit of stretch in it, but it fit pretty snugly. The 4 fit as well but the top of the dress kept folding over and showing the liner, and the 2 didn't do that at all. I wore tall shoes (5") because I'm pretty short (5' 4"). The 2L was perfect in length, just barely brushed the floor. I got compliments on this dress ALL DAY and NIGHT. Even in the middle of the ceremony someone leaned over to tell me how much she loved my dress. The straps were a little long and fell down when dancing but some fashion tape would easily fix this... thankfully for me, everyone was drinking and didn't care! The pictures do not do this dress justice, the lace overlay was gorgeous in person... I was such a huge fan of this dress, can't wait to rent another dress from RTR!

Great dress, better than expected

This dress was not my first or even second choice. In fact, it seemed a little plain to me, but given the lack of availability at the time of my rental, I went with this one. It turned out to be a happy surprise. The dress itself has a lot of stretch. I am probably closer to a 6, but the 4 fit easily. The lace overlays are beautiful and the bust turned out to be a bit more risqué than expected. If you're thinking the dress is plain, wear a push-up bra and you will be proven wrong! I got a ton of compliments on this dress and it was easy to wear. I have a little tummy so that usually makes me self-conscious, but with Spanx and the weight and stretch of this dress, it was not an issue. I was concerned the regular length would be too short, but I wore 3 1/2" heels (no platform) and it was fine. Definitely recommend this dress for a tasteful, sophisticated look without too much flash.

Really beautiful dress - pictures don't do it justice. The lace detail is so pretty and is cut in all the right places to really flatter a figure with curves. The dress is tight so best to choose the size you'll wear with spanks as I wore the 4 and probably should have worn the 6 once I put my spanks on - but it was still alright. For us bustier ladies, it's definitely more revealing - I didn't wear a bra but while I was dancing I needed to keep adjusting - perhaps in the 6 that wouldn't have happened, but just a fair warning that there isn't a ton of support up there. I read in another review that the inner lining of the dress does roll up a bit at the neck line and I did notice that happen with me too but it didn't bother me so much. Overall, I really loved the dress - felt super sexy and beautiful in it and would totally recommend for a formal event!

I ordered a size 6 and an 8 and wore the 6 regular. I'm 5 foot 6 and had to wear flat sandals because you could see my shoes if I wore a heel. The straps were also a little bit long so they would occasionally slip off of my shoulder. Overall it was a beautiful dress and I was very happy with it.

Got so many compliments on this dress the whole night! SO comfortable! I was able to dance the whole night and not worry about ripping the dress. The straps were a bit long so if you have the option of getting a second size for free-order the size you think you would wear and a size smaller! But overall awesome dress! So classy.

This dress is great and I really loved it. I am 5' 9'' though and even though i got the long size it was still much too short to wear heels with and it even allowed my flats to peek out from underneath. The lace is great and in person is beautiful, but the other reviews are right, it barely shows up in pictures. This picture is the only one I could find with it. There is little to no difference between the 2 and 4 sizes by the way. Overall, pretty darn good and I ordered really last minute and it got here on time~

The dress looked exactly how I hoped. It fit great and hugged in all the right places. I would advise anyone getting the dress with the intention of wearing heels making them 5'7'' or taller, should get the long version! My dress was the perfect length when I was barefoot but too short with my heels. Also, the neckline tends to fold over a little but it's nothing noticeable. All in all, I got a lot of compliments and would definitely RTR again!

I wore this dress to prom and it was beautiful. Unfortunately when I tried it on with my 3" heels I could see my shoes/ankles. I thought the dress would touch the ground and I almost didn't wear the dress because of this. I actually thought they sent me the regular length because it didn't touch the ground without heels on either..now i'm thinking either it shrunk or it's just supposed to be like that. In the end, I decided it looked okay and just wore it anyway. I felt classy in this dress and different than anyway else at prom.

Thank goodness for shape wear! The belly area was unforgiving so I was watching my posture and keeping my belly tight all night...But everyone commented on how nice it was and different from anything you'd find in our area (coastal NC). I've never gotten more compliments in a single night than I did on the night of my Junior Prom to which I wore this dress. After struggling with a stuck zipper on the size 2L I had to wear the 4L which fit me almost exactly the same as the 2L did.I would definitely recommend the "L" size to anyone who, like me, is tall and is planning on wearing heels. The dress was a show stopper, a definite break from the traditional chiffon and printed silk that so often overwhelms prom and I couldn't get over how much I loved the dress. There is no doubt that I will be using RTR again, a fantastic experience.

Fits like a glove, perfect and not too tight. As for length if you are 5'6" or taller GET THE LONG. I got regular and wore only 2 inch heels which was still pushing the length, if you want the dress to be completely floor length be sure to order long. I used fashion tape to keep the straps separated on my shoulders (thought it looked better that way).

It was very difficult to narrow down a dress from the awesome collection on RTR. This was my first RTR dress and I think I am hooked! This dress fit perfectly and gives an awesome "push" to the ladies. It's fitted in the entire upper body so I recommend wearing a strapless Spanx to hide any self-conscious areas. However, the dress has a nice stretch to it so it's also quite forgiving. I am 5'1 and I wore 5" heels and it still grazed the ground and made it a bit challenging to dance. Absolutely beautiful dress and I felt absolutely gorgeous in it. My girlfriends and my sister said it was an amazing dress that could go for most body types. One HUGE issue was the zipper. Very challenging to zip up or down that in fear of running too late, I finally put the dress on me like I would a shirt while it's zipped all the way up - thanks to a girlfriend's help so I didn't ruin the dress or my hair! To go with the look of the dress, I made sure my hair was done a-la-Veronica Lake waves to echo the Old Hollywood glam look that this dress evokes!

This was a replacement dress for my backup dress, because it was damaged by the previous renter. It ended up being love at first sight, and it was perfect for my prom! I loved how classy it looked next to all the stereotypical prom dresses. I received so many compliments between this dress and the necklace I also rented.The dress is very stretchy, and SO comfortable, I could have lasted much longer than 7 hours! At the last minute, the dress I ordered in this size was unavailable. RTR called me and helped me select this Nicole Miller knockout. I needed the petite length because I am 5'2" but had to wear flats because I recently had knee surgery and I was on crutches. The length was perfect for me, but would have been way too short with any type of heel. The fit was snug but flattering. It even hid my big knee brace underneath!! I love RTR and will definitely rent again!

The dress was great. I ordered a 2 and a 0 and the 2 was loose (though the length of the 0 was a tiny bit short in the front and I found myself pulling the dress down over the course of the night). It was comfortable and I felt great wearing it. The zippers were a bit sticky on both sizes, as a result of the lace fabric I think, but despite my worries, both zippers worked.

This dress was amazing! It was my first time using the website and I was a little nervous but everything ran smoothly! I ordered size 2 and 4, the 2 was perfect in every way. The only problem I had with it was the zipper. It was very tough to zip up because it kept getting caught on the lace around it, but once it zipped, I was ready to party the night away! RTR is wonderful, and I LOVED the little goody package sent with the dresses.

The dress is stretchy and forgiving. It fits in all the right places! There wasn't a lot of support, so I felt the need to readjust a couple times. The straps were also a little long for my height, so I had to make a quick and removable adjustment to keep them in place. The length was perfect with 3" heels. If you're taller than 5', I would suggest getting a longer length.

This was the only appropriate petite sized gown I really liked from the RTR choices and it was a good one. I preferred my second selection (Bagley Mischa) but it was only available in a regular length which was way too long and hung strangely around my torso--I wasted money with this add-on. This petite Nicole Miller was truly elegant but with a 36D chest, it was a bit too small for my top and I felt self conscious. The earrings were a surprise bling that were heavy huge, beautiful clip-ons which I was able to wear for more than 6 hours before the real pain set in. Overall, a good experience, with lots of compliments.

I wore this dress to a black tie gala and really liked it. It was comfortable and sexy. The only negative was the length and the lining at the bust. I'm 5'9" and wore the 8 tall but it was still a little short with heels. The lining at the bust sticks out and I really don't know if there's a way to prevent it from happening. It didn't bother me that much. Also, I would recommend using fashion tape to make the straps stay separated. Overall, this is a gorgeous dress and I got so many compliments on it.

This was my first rent the runway experience and I am so pleased. This dress was beautiful. The lace was so elegant. It fit perfectly and accentuated all of my curves. My boyfriend thought it was so sexy and all my friends were in love with it! Perfect dress for a formal event. The only problem was that the straps seemed to be a bit loose from over use. But I used some of the fabric tape provided with my order and it was fine!! Another big plus, I was able to wear a regular strapless bra! I hate dealing with cups/tape/ etc. Overall, a wonderful dress!!!
