The dress is beautiful and fit me pretty well. It was tight around my ribs, but a little big in the bust and the butt/hips area. I rented both the 38 R&L and ended up wearing the R. I am 5'6" and wore 5in heels and the length was perfect. The fabric wasn't as think as I was expecting, though not a bad thing. My one problem with this dress (and why I gave 4 out of 5 stars) was the zipper in the back. The zipper is exposed and there isn't a hook to stop the zipper from falling down. I had to have friends help me keep it up all night.

I thought the entire fit was amazing and super flattering. I though the stomach area was a little lose though, but besides that I have no complaints. Just putting on this dress makes you feel amazing.

This dress is stunning. The fit was perfect - I am a size 6, 141 pounds, 5,6" and the longer length with 4inch heels worked great. The material is a little stretch so the dress is super comfortable. I wore a spanx that goes from under bra to thigh and it could not be seen underneath. I got a lot of compliments and it was really hard to put the dress back in the UPS bag today. Love this dress.

The fit couldn't have been better. The fabric does wrinkle easily, so take a steam iron if you're traveling. I'd rent again in a heartbeat.

Showstopper

I rented this for a black tie wedding and it was perfect. The fabric is so light (you will need to iron or steam after delivery). The only thing is, the nature of the cut of the dress makes moving your arms up, and your legs apart a bit constricted. Overall, for a 38L, everything was true to size and fit like a glove. Amazing dress, amazing color!

This dress is incredibly well designed. As a tall woman, it is often difficult for me to find a dress that fits well. This one did! So many people at the prom I wore it for said I was the stunner of the evening; I was so thankful to find this dress. The cutouts and neckline are well-placed, and the color is vibrant. It is just as it looks in the picture. I would definitely recommend it, especially for a very formal occasion where you want to stand out from the other girls.

AMAZING DRESS!!!! This dress is a SHOW STOPPER!! I ordered the 40L & 42R originally because the 40R wasn't available. The 40L was a little too big. This dress is supposed to be fitted so I had RTR send me the 38L which fit perfectly! Even the length! I am convinced that I had the 38R and not the 38L because the length was perfect for me with 3 1/2 in heels and I'm only 5' 3.

I was scared when I saw the reviews on how the size ran very small but was pleasantly surprised when the dress fit perfectly. Minus the fact i could only wear small heels because the dress was shorter than I imagined. I would recommend this dress to anyone it fits like a glove and is a true stunner. I received mass amounts of compliments and also the dress was very easy to move and to dance in. Very breathable. I would even rent this dress again! I had people trying to buy it off of me..

I LOVED this dress!!! WOW! I thought that the 38R would be fine, but am glad that I got the 40R as well. It fit like a glove. I felt like I belonged on the Oscar Red Carpet. Wore this dress for a black tie event! Several people told me it was their favorite dress of the evening!! The only thing is that it runs a short. I am 5'7 and ordered the regular. It was much too short. I would definitely recommend the long. But, overall it was a beautiful dress!! Very well made. Not to mention Jennifer Anniston wore the same dress on the cover of vogue before!! I felt like a star!!

This was my backup prom gown. It is a beautiful dress and i loved the top, however the bottoms looked a little weird on someone my height. The dress is also beautifully structured and really highlights your waist.

I wore this gown to a black tie charity event themed The Golden Age of Hollywood. I wear designer clothes and knew that I wear a size 6 or a 42. I am 5'4" and am a 34C-28-37 and this dress fit me like a glove and the length was perfect with a pair of 4" heels. I'm athletic built and have little fat so I was able to wear it without Spanx. I don't think I would have been able to get the back buckled if I were any bigger on top or it would be spilling over. I continuously received comments and everyone wanted to know the designer. The material is very comfortable and I was even comfortable through dinner and all the speeches and entertainment. When we went to mingle I had men coming up to me and asking my husband if they could take my picture. Some even posed with me. I definitely recommend this dress if you want to be noticed.

Serious showstopper

This is probably the most insane dress on the entire site, it is drop dead gorgeous. I think every single person I saw complimented the dress, it's a stunner. I have an asian body so the 38 was better on my narrow hips but the torso was SO ungodly tight and the satiny fabric was so thin it showed everything and even I (as a 107lb size zero) had to wear spanx to stay smooth. In the end, I decided to go up a size and wore the 40 which was a little too big on my hips but perfect on my torso and was way more comfortable (still had to wear spanx though). When you put it on, undo the zipper but keep the hook-and-eye clasps hooked together on the back and just pull the top part on in one piece (rather than trying to hook it after its on). Also, i WAS able to wear a regular strapless bra, i just pushed it down low in the back.
