All night I felt like I was comfortable enough to dance and move without worrying about the dress being too tight or showing something I'd rather keep hidden. The piano keys are a cute detail without being overly dramatic. 

Worn for my brother's HS  graduation and chosen because of theme (since he's heading to a music college). Fit true to size, forgiving in the waist. Very cute and flirty dress. I received a ton of compliments and hated to have to return it. 

We had a night at a magic show and this fit the event perfectly.  I worried that the keys might not stay in place, but the material is heavy and they were perfectly behaved.  I will rent this again.  I have slim hips and a small chest so it was good for me, but it does not offer much room in those two areas.

Perfect beautifully made shift.  Great shift dress fit: fitted on bust and light on hips - very flattering.  Lovely neckline and shoulder cut.  Dress is great for dancing in as the keyboard swishes around.  Definitely on the shorter side but I wore it with opaque black tights so not a problem.  Ivory keys would look better with tanned legs.   Got lots of compliments.  Wish I could wear it again.   Would be great for a jazz or 50's party.

I absolutely loved this dress! I ordered the 42 and 44 and ended up wearing the 44. The odd thing is that the 42 for much looser than the 44. The piano keys were different on the two dresses. I liked the ones better on the 42 but the 44 had a nicer snug fit. Lots of compliments, very comfortable, definitely Recommend! 

Fit was great, comfortable, really liked the material of the dress. It was a lot of fun to wear and definitely received a lot of compliments and people wanting to play the piano haha. I paired it with a black and white statement necklace and black flats. 

This was excellent for my 1930's costume. It was very roomy and not too form fitting.

A little short for my height, but it fell straight. Very comfortable.
If you have an athletic build, you may want to order a size down. 

I got so many compliments while honky-tonking downtown. Honestly, the first thing I heard when stepping out of the cab for the night was someone saying "I love that dress!" Super comfortable and cuuuuute!

The size 4 equivalent fit noticeably better than the 6 equivalent, which was very loose. It was such a cute, comfortable dress for a long (and dull) awards banquet, and very comfortable. It was possibly not the most flattering thing for a curvy short person with no waist but looked okay. I would happily wear it again.

The hips were a little tight in the lining but you couldn't tell from the outside. Strangely my backup size (44) fit smaller than the 42 and seemed like an entirely different dress from the fabric to the fit. Thankfully the 42 fit like a glove! I loved that I was able to wear a normal bra and the piano key skirt was really fun to twirl in. 

Being a pianist myself,  I found this dress only appropriate to wear to the 2015 Miss America pageant! I so wish ordering in a petite was an option because, I found this dress ran extremely large ! Nevertheless, I received so many compliments from countless strangers. If it fit better I would strongly consider purchasing it! 

But the chest it was so tight. No room there on top

This dress is the epitome of my personality. And everyone at the party who knew me as a musician kept saying what a perfect dress it was for me. 

I rented this dress for my best friend's birthday party which was held at a dueling piano bar.    Let's just say I stood out like a celebrity--the bar owners/promoters were constantly taking pictures of the lady in the Piano Dress.   It fit perfectly--I'm pretty tall (5'10") so the short length made my legs look REALLY long!  I am 138lbs, 36A and ordered the 42 and 44.   The 42 was perfect in every single way--although I didn't dare bend over too far!   I cannot say enough about this dress, the compliments I received, and the way my husband watched me all night was unforgettable.  Thank you RTR!!    

Loved this dress! I wore this for the opening night of the musical I directed and everyone loved it! The dress is not meant to be form fitting, and runs a little large anyway, so I would definitely suggest going down a size. 

I loved this dress...I felt super comfortable in it all day/night. The fit was true to size and not too short. You can see from the picture that it was a lot of fun - and that's my fiance being his hilarious self :)

Fun dress. I received tons of comments. It runs large. I usually wear a size 4.  I went down to 40, and probably could have gone down to 38 for a more fitted look.

Being short, this dress was long enough to for "work appropriate" and great sheath fit. The material was lighter for summer too. Had compliments from both parents and students at my music school. 

The dress is meant to be loose fitting. I have gained some weight recently and prefer an outfit that doesn't draw too much attention to that. The dress was fabulously flattering and unique. My fiancé and I stood out for this Great Gatsby themed wedding. We had a ball while looking great. I highly recommend this dress!!

I guess this dress is meant to fit loose which I usually don't like. This dress was an exception though. It was very fun to wear, lots of compliments. Wore it to a concert.

This was my free birthday rental dress. I loved it I wore the 42 the 40 was too snug for the look I wanted.I wore the dress to an art center opening event . I jazzed it up with booties, textured hose and lots of pearls, great for an "artsy" night.

Everyone complimented me on this dress. I wore it casually to class as part of an Unlimited order. Could not be more satisfied and would rent again. 

I'm in that zone between a 6 and 8, so I ordered both and went with the 6 which fit perfectly.

Wore for a vday outing - loved the fit and fabric, very comfortable. I thought the shift was also slimming on me. The piano keys just made it fun! 

It is meant to be a shift, not tailored.  I liked that.  I chose to wear a shrug sweater with it was winter when I wore it.  It's very flattering either way.  

I loved this dress. I was a little worried about the sizing, as I normally wear a 12, but I am currently in between sizes. This dress was perfect for that 20's look without being too literal. Everyone else was in sparkles, and I was the "Piano Girl" So many compliments. I did not want to take this dress off!!

I rented this for a wedding for a friend marrying a pianist. Needless to say, the dress was a hit!

Fit beautifully.  I wore this to a 1920's style party and received lots of compliments. The dress was comfortable and pretty. I will definitely rent from RTR again!

The other reviews are right.  This runs VERY big.  I normally wear a 10, but ordered an 8 as my back-up.  I have a bit of a tummy, and yet the 8 was way big (both in the arms and stomach).  I couldn't get a replacement size soon enough so I wore it with a belt and a cardigan (which was fine for a day event in January).  I could have worn a 6 easily.

All that aside, I wore this to a show at the Kennedy Center and got soooo many compliments!  I even had a few people gasp and point!  I hope this dress is offered for sale soon....I will buy it in an instant!  

Adored this dress.  It's shapeless but feminine.  I have a small bust and found it to be snug across the chest.  The length was perfect for me but I am quite tall, about 6 ft with heels.  Photos don't do the movement of the dress justice.  Jazzed it up for a Gatsby theme because I didn't want to look to 'costumey'

This dress was my favorite rental thus far!! It is such a fun dress and I had the best time wearing it! 

As others have mentioned this dress runs a bit large. I am a solid 2, but went for the smaller size (38) in this dress. That being said, this dress is adorable and fun and flirty. I felt cute and like the life of the party. It wasn't too tight anywhere, so I felt comfortable eating and drinking all night long. I wore this on New Year's Eve to the symphony (and out to eat after) and felt that it wasn't too dressy or too sexy for the occasion. Could easily be dressed up or down. Highly recommend.

I had ordered a 12 (48) and wanted to get a size 10 as a backup, but it was unavailable. I think the 10 would have fit a little bit better, since the 12 was kind of shapeless on me. It was very comfortable and cute.  I wore with black tights and booties and a cardigan on top (since it was freezing cold out). 

I wore this to a family Christmas Eve party and I have never received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS! Everyone in my family absolutely loved it and was raving about it. This dress is so chic and unique, it is perfect for any type of event. Extremely comfortable and I would absolutely rent this dress again!

This dress was not my original dress. I ordered a dress that another renter had accidentally picked up. So when I got to the store they offered me a new dress. At first I was disappointed but once I tried this dress on I knew it was perfect! It fit my growing baby bump so well and it was perfect for going to see a broadway show later that night. Cute, casual and flirty. I got a lot of compliments while walking around that night. The staff at the RTR store was super helpful and I'm glad I made the choice to pick up my dress instead of having it shipped so this could happen exactly the way it did!

Wore this to my company Christmas party - it was perfect. Classifies as an LBD so it fit the occasion, but completely original and individual. My favorite part is how COMFORTABLE it was! It was fitted enough to show off the figure, but loose enough to still enjoy all the amazing food at the party.

It's so clever and unique -- you're guaranteed to get tons of compliments. You can wear it with black fleece tights to stay warm in the winter. I wish I could keep it!
