This is a beautiful, elegant gown. The color is gorgeous and it is not too fussy, so can be dressed up or down. I wore it with gold accessories (earrings, bracelets, shoes) in order to pick up the warm undertones.
At 5'2" the 40R was the perfect length for flats, except for a small part of the hem on the right side (details below).
I chose a long dress for an outdoor wedding because I was worried that once the sun set, I would get cold. It kept me warm enough, especially paired with a shrunken blazer.
I would recommend going up one size if you would like the gown to fit like it does on the model. The 40R fit, but was snug enough not to have the flowy effect that I was looking for. This may be due to my wider hips, though. Also, there is a bit on the right side that dragged. Based on the loose seams and small holes there, other people had a similar issue. Definitely wear Spanx or some other shapewear, as the fabric is on the thin side.
