This dress is adorable and flattering, with a bit more coverage (lace sleeves, medium length) which is great if it is wintertime or if you want to hide any trouble areas. The black lace is sexy but classy and actually pretty comfortable. Would be tough to wear with a necklace (bc of snagging) but otherwise very versatile and could be dressed up or down.

This is a beautiful dress! It doesn't have any stretch so if your arms are muscular the sleeves can feel a little tight to begin with but they do loosen up after a bit. I wore this to a late spring wedding and got lots of compliments - looks great with simple jewelry and red lipstick!

Loved this dress! Wore it to my daughter's preschool evening fundraiser, and it was absolutely perfect for the occasion -- classy yet stylish. The lace is beautiful, and the cut of the back is a great surprise. Pockets are useful for your license, credit card and some cash. (I wouldn't put anything heavy like a smartphone or a set of keys in them as this could cause the dress to pull.) In terms of fit, the dress is comfortable since the hip area is loose. I'm 5' 2", and the length hit me about 1/2 an inch above my knee. The only con for me was that I felt the torso length was short. The waist of the dress hit me above my natural waist. It wasn't noticeable because the lace distracted from it, though. I wore black tights, simple black heels and simple jewelry.

I loved this dress for the wedding that we went to in the middle of February. It was perfect and I didn't need a sweater since we were inside all night. I even got complimented by friends who couldn't believe that I had rented it. Only downside for a wedding... can't raise your arms for dancing up a storm. I knew that going in, but still kind of felt like a robot for some of the night. Would definitely recommend and would get again!

I ended up returning this dress. It is more of a sheath than an a-line. Something to keep in mind, if like me, you're pear shaped and prefer a looser fit through the hips. The lace on one of the sleeves was also slightly torn. Disappointed as I was very excited about the wearing the dress to an engagement party, but willing to give RTR another chance (this was my 1st RTR rental).

Perfection in a dress!

This dress was AH-MAZ-ING! It fit like a custom. I wore it for our quarterly banquet for business and it could not have looked more perfect. There are pockets but the do not flare as some pockets do. The arms were cut slim but allowed for movement. The raw lace edge was beautiful. The dress was a jaw dropper - I had so many compliments!

This dress is so lovely! The sheath underneath it seems to have a soft glow underneath the black lace which creates a beautiful contrast. Conservative yet very sexy at the same time. It also comes with cute pockets in the front! I usually wear a size 4, but I can also fit in a size 2 depending on the cut/designer. In this case, I was able to wear the size 2. Because the dress fits snug around the waist, it is a good dress if you have hips! I loved this dress - wish I could own it!

This dress has very little give in the lace. I had to size up to accommodate my broad shoulders, which meant that the rest of the dress was a bit big. If you think you're between sizes, keep that in mind. The dress was comfortable, elegant, classic, and I really really liked it. I would consider purchasing it so that I can alter it to fit my shape even better.

I really liked this dress. It fit my body type perfectly. I did add a black belt to help give me more of a waist, but the dress is already very elaborate that I didn't need much else. I was able to fit into the 0, but was worried I might rip the lace a little throughout the night so I decided to go with the 2 instead as it gave me more room to move around. I've seen some comments about the back of the dress, but it wasn't super low for me. I still went without a bra though it was easier and didn't worry about too much showing. As for the length, it hit right at my knees since I'm shorter than average, but looked nice with a pair of fancy heels. Highly recommend this dress!

I ordered the size 6 and size 8 as my back up, the 8 fit a little loose and the 6 fit great with some spanx so I went with the 6. The arms were fitted and I was able to dance in the dress but not lift my arms up over my head very well.

Really sweet dress!

Loved the dress but it ran a little bit small. The arms are very tight and almost feel like you are constricted. The back is relatively low so make sure you have a strapless bra that doesn't show. The way that the front of the dress fit I felt that if I was smaller on top it would have looked better and I am not large to begin with. Really elegant and striking dress falling a few inches above the knee (I am 5'2").

I ordered this dress without a backup size and ended up having to return it and not have it for a wedding this weekend. I've never had to use my backup size but knew it was a gamble as every dress fits differently. It was a beautiful dress. Make sure that you have a size up when renting becuase the shoulders are very tight. (and I don't have a large bust)

This dress is so pretty and flattering. The sleees give a bit of coverage without being too heavy or conservative. The A-line is excellent, no Spanx needed. Top fit perfectly, with just enough room in the skirt to make some room for hips. The v back adds a bit of sexiness. Compliments all night. Well made, with rich champagne satin lining. You'll want to wear a strapless bra, as the top of the dress is sheer. I wore the 8 but would suggest sizing down as your back-up, as the skirt had a bit more room than I needed.

I rented this dress for NYE and loved it so much! It is great for curvy girls, although a bit snug for my larger bust (34 DD/DDD), so I wore the size 12 instead of the 10. If I could afford this dress, I would buy it and wear it everywhere (work, parties, the grocery store...)

The ONLY con I have about this dress is that the cut of the sleeve made it difficult for me to raise my arms, which is common of dresses with sleeves, so it shouldn't be unexpected. Overall, the dress was perfect for a wedding rehearsal and sunset cocktail party. The cut was very flattering and I received a lot of compliments as the night went on. I wore it with simple diamond studs and patent pumps. I LOVED it!

This dress was one of the nicest dresses I've ordered from Rent the Runway. However, if you are at all busty (C cup or bigger) I would suggest going up a size. I am typically a 4 to 6 and the 6 was really snug on me. It has to do with the lining - it is quite tailored and has no give. But it is a very pretty dress fit for everything from a date night to a formal affair.

This dress was sent to me in a 4 when the dress I originally ordered was not available to ship. It's a beautiful dress and fit me well everywhere except for the shoulders! It was too tight and very hard for me to move my arms. I think it was also a bad color for my pale skin. Because of these issues I ended up not wearing this dress. Emily M. provided great customer service to me.
