This dress is perfect for the gal who wants some pattern and color but doesn't want to go crazy. The dress is beautiful and the size 4 I ordered fit great. I have a butt and was a bit worried about length but it came about 3 inches above my knee which was perfect. I wore this dress to my birthday Sunday dinner and everyone loved it. I highly recommend this dress for work, dates, weekend outings etc. It goes great with everything.

Beautiful dress, runs very small

I rented a Kate Spade dress to wear to the Kentucky Derby, but it didn't fit. So this was actually a backup dress that I got in a 10 and 12. I took the advice of another RTR review of this dress that suggested getting two sizes up from my usual size (which is an 8.) The 10 was able to zip, but for a girl with curves, it was just too small to be comfortable. However, the 12 fit just fine and was perfect for the Derby. I'll also say that RTR was great about getting me this dress in exchange for the dress that didn't fit. Quick e-mail response even after hours and the dress arrived at 9:30 Saturday morning, just in time to put on and leave for my event! For this reason I'm very glad that I chose to have my original dress arrive 2 days ahead of the needed date instead of 1.

The cut at the waist and pleats are extremely flattering - gave me a nice curvy shape. The material was really nice, and the colors bright. It's a classic dress which would work for many occasions.

I was worried about it fitting snug, but it actually fit very well. I am flat chested so I had a little extra space in the bust area. The fabric does not stretch but it didn't cause any problems for all the dancing I did at the reception! It hit at about the knee on me. I wore purple heels and the colors are very bright! I usually lean towards black dresses, but this dress was a perfect blend of color and that's what I was looking for!

I wore this dress for a March wedding, and it was perfect! The fabric is beautiful in person. It is great quality and the colors are really vibrant. I normally wear either a 2 or a 4, and I ended up going with a 4, since the 2 was a bit tight in the hips. I'd recommend ordering a size up for your backup. This dress is classy and sophisticated, and the beautiful colors really make it stand out. The rouching at the side makes for a flattering fit.

I wore this for my boyfriend's Barrister's Ball and loved it! It is not too short and has an elegant boat neckline. This is a very classic dress. It IS tight around the middle, but with control top hose I had no problem. I wore it with the Silver Bright Spot Necklace from kate spade ny accessorie and it was a perfect accent! Perfect with simple, chic black heels. I would wear this dress again.

I wore this dress to a NYE wedding and reception at an art gallery in DC. Based on other reviews of the dress (no stretch/the dress is tight around the bust and hips/thighs), I ordered a size up and two sizes up for my back-up size. I ended up wearing the 12. Although a little loose around my waist, it was the right choice and made for a more comfortable experience sitting during the wedding ceremony and dancing at the reception. The colors were even more beautiful in person, especially with the gallery lighting. Overall, it was a memorable evening and a great first RTR experience!

I LOVED the dress. The colors are beautiful and the cut is very flattering. I unfortunately did not wear it because it was a little snug in the hips - I find that happens a lot with Milly dresses. Thankfully, it was my backup dress so I still danced the night away in another RTR dress! My suggestion is if you are hippy like me, size up!

So I actually had this as my second style and wanted to wear it on my birthday for a day of shopping, small plates, etc. around NYC. I had some trouble with the zipper and it turned out to be defective and broke about an hour into the day. Luckily it was winter so I had it paired with a navy sweater (and brown tights and brown ankle boots) which covered the hole. And RTR was awesome about it when I told them. I think it was a problem with that zipper in particular, and the dress was absolutely beautiful! I've been looking for it to buy ever since.

I had to wear a size up because the dress was tight around my legs & butt (Note: I have an athletic figure). The fabric has no stretch, so even though I could wear the 4, I knew I had to be sitting half the night (I went to a dinner) and wore the 6 so I felt comfortable. The top part was a little loose wearing the size up, but not too loose (my boyfriend didn't think so anyway) and I got compliments on the dress at the party.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous! I wore this for a presentation I had to do for one of my GSLIS classes on Eric Carle, the man who wrote "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". The pattern and colors all matched his illusration style. Concerning the fit of this dress, just like the other reviewers stated, this dress definitely runs tight in the midsection. So if you do have a belly, aka if while you stand and you look about 3 months pregnant, purchase a larger size. I'm normally a size 6 but for this dress I had to wear a size 8 cause of my stomach. Other than that, it's very comfortable, and it hit me about 4 inches above my knees.

The colors and sheen of this dress make it incredibly striking...and the style is classically sophisticated. I found it too short for my usual tastes, but adjusted stockings and heels to accommodate for this. I should have worn more striking earrings ... but loved the RTR gold leaf bracelet selected.

I'm normally a 2/4, but definitely a pear shape. As the previous reviewer mentioned, this dress does not flatter anyone with any kind of hips. And while I could get it on (eventually) and move around comfortably, the fabric ended up bunching in the most unflattering places and I had way too much room on top. A shame, too, because the material is absolutely gorgeous! Would definitely flatter a narrower figure.

Definitely runs small for anyone that has some sort of hip action. I typically can wear a 4 and barely squeezed my lower end into a 6. Other than that, it's a nice conservative cut and easy to wear.
