dress was not flattering for my chest, I was able to zip it up but it squashed my girls into a weird shape. Material was not very yielding. And scratchy to the touch. Did not end up wearing it out.

I scoped this dress out 2 months ago and knew it was perfect for the winter wedding I attended! I ordered sizes 6 and 10 because the 8 was not in stock for that weekend. I usually run between a 6 and 8 depending on stretch of the dress, which this doesn't have much of and is true to size! However, I was able to wear the 6 comfortably. I have hips, so the dress was a tad tight in that area, but I was still able to sit and dance without issue.  I paired it with black tights because I didn't want to be cold, but the dress was short so I wanted to look presentable. This dress outshines itself so minimal jewelry is good, so I wore gold studded earrings and nude shoes. I received over a dozen compliments throughout the night and from the bride! I did not want to return this dress, I wish I could have kept it!

This was a beautiful and unique dress.  I absolutely loved it. A little snug around the hips but it still fit. I'm usually between a 4 or a 6 and wore the 6. I got a lot of compliments on this dress. 




This dress is fantastic. I received so many compliments at my work Christmas Party. A fellow renter even commented that she wanted to rent this dress after seeing it in person.  I am typically a size 10, to fit my upper body (large shoulders), this dress fit perfectly and the length was great.  It has so much more pop in person that it does on the website or in pictures.  Will definitely be renting again if I have another winter event to attend!

Dress was even more beautiful in person ! The cons... Iam usually in a size 8, this dress runs extremely Small in the lower half, especially if you are curvy . I had to wear the 12. It was a good fit on the bottom, but a little Lose on the top. Overall I did love the dress, just make sure you order sizes up (: 

It was a little snug through the hips but overall it was flattering. I wore to a wedding in an uptown loft that was vintage and eclectic.

The fit definitely ran small and I had to be careful when sitting but still looked great on! I would definitely recommend ordering your next size up. I wore this to a fall wedding and it worked perfectly. 

I ordered this dress for a friends Fall wedding. The material was thick which was good. I think this dress runs a little but small, the 4 was very short and too tight - the fabric has no stretch. The 6 was a little loose in the shoulders but tight over my butt/legs. Overall the 6 fit well. I love RTR and plan to rent again!

I wasn't sure about renting this dress because I thought it was going to run long.  However it turned out to be a perfect fit.  I am about 5'3 and the dress fit snug and short.  I loved it!  

The dress fit great, but was too short for my comfort. I was concerned about the armpits rubbing being uncomfortable but it didn't bother me at all. The lining of the dress hung out the bottom and I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be that way or not. Overall I was happy with the dress and got a lot of compliments!

Dress fit very snug, would maybe select a size 4 next time.  


Beautiful dress! Fits tightly in the hips - I usually wear a 2 and the 4 was uncomfortably tight so make sure you order your second size up. Besides that it was the perfect dress for our event. It was a little short when I sat down but I think that is because it was a little small. Would definitely recommend this dress to anyone!

I rented this for a birthday outing in NYC - snug fit but very flattering - easy to move/dance in, lots of compliments - I didn't need to accessorize much, as the neckline is very sparkly (along with the rest of the dress). You can get away with wearing a regular bra in this, too. I accompanied with black/gold platform shoes. Very lightweight, I would highly recommend!

I wore this to a company holiday party! I wanted something a little flashy yet conservative and this hit the mark! It ran true to size and fit great!

Fantastic dress- first time ever using this system. Wore this the President's Box at a sporting event and had nothing but compliments all evening.  (Sorry I don't have a full length photo!) Ordered both a 0 & 2.  Size 0 was perfect- I'm 5' 6" and the hem line was exactly where it needed to be.  Not to short as to look questionable but just short enough to make my legs look amazing.  Paired with black pumps and simple jewelry-  a classic look with a hint of pizzazz. My only regret is that I can't wear it for the same function! Totally recommended.  

This dress for perfect however it also ran short!!!  I'm no prude but would have preferred it to have been a little longer, as I was chaperoning my high school's prom.  I got a lot of compliments on this dress!  

I really liked this dress! I am usually a 0 and I wore the 0, however, it was a little snug. I also had the size 2 and it was a little big. I stuck with the 0 and the dress underling kept riding up. It wasn't that big of a deal to me and I still loved it and received so many compliments on it! 

I wore this to an outside wedding and the weather was much colder than anyone expected!  I wish I had more pictures in this dress, but sadly I was in a coat (like everyone else) almost the entire time.  It fit beautifully all over and I was able to dance and move around without any problems.

This dress fit true to size. The details of gold and black were stunning and photographed well. I got lots of compliments throughout the night. My only complaint was that it was a bit short. I ordered a 4 and 6 and wore the 4 because the 6 was not flattering, but the 4 was very short! Overall I loved it and would rent it again.

I wore this to a winter wedding. The dress fit much better than I thought it would. I was nervous when I first saw it, but it turned out to be such a hit. I got so many compliments on my dress. It was a little loose around my chest. I am very self conscience since I had post baby weight still, but I felt like this dress made me look thinner than I was. I actually felt beautiful. :)

I wore this to an Alzheimer's Gala & loved it.  I got so many compliments.  It had the perfect amount of sparkle for an evening event.  I tried the size 2 & 4.  The 2 fit pretty similar to the 4 but was tighter around the hips & was a little uncomfortable when sitting, so I wore the 4.  My only complaint about this dress was the black slip part underneath showed in some places at the bottom but I pinned it up before leaving the house & it was fine.  Overall, this is a win!

This is definitely a dress you can relax in as long as you're not too tall, since it is a mini. I wore the 10 since the 8 wasn't available that day, but the 10 fit alright except (as you can see) a little bunching in the top area. The dress still looked fabulous and if you look at the third picture, you can see all its intricate details.

I'd buy this dress if I could afford it.  Wore to a Sunday evening NYC wedding.  My size 2 was a little loose, so I'd recommend getting the 0/2 instead of the 2/4.  There is an unnoticeable belt loop string and I wouldnt have even known it was there except that it got caught on my husband's shirt button while we were dancing.  Luckily, no dress or shirt was harmed in the incident.  Warning: If you tend to do things like that (which I do), the crochet could be a little on the delicate side but I wouldnt let that deter you from renting this beautiful dress.   

This dress was great! The gold with the black overlay was perfect for a January birthday dinner with friends. I was able to wear it with tights and tall boots. I wore the size I normally wear, however, the only reason I say it runs small is that it was a bit fitted around the hips and slightly bigger on top. I tried the 10 too, but it was too boxy so I wore the 8. I'd say get your back up size a size up just in case. I got a ton of compliments on the dress and it was super comfortable. It is short, so beware. I'm 5'5" so if you're taller, keep this in mind.

My only feedback is that the lining underneath did peak out a bit at the bottom, and along the neck, but it didn't ruin my night.

Dress fit true to size, allowed room to move! 

This was a great dress for a wedding right before Christmas. The fit was great, except the dress was shorter than I anticipated. I wore black tights under because of the short length. Otherwise it was great! 

This dress is so different and so stunning that it's really hard not to stand out.  I got more compliments than I have ever gotten in my life.  I wore a 6, which is what I usually wear, but I said it runs small because I have NO hips at all and it fit me perfectly around the hips while dresses are usually big on me in that area. So, if you have hips, size up.  i found the top to fit my bigger chest quite nicely.  It was a little snug, but not a big deal at all, easy to zip. I am only 5'2'' so the dress was perfect length on me, but I can see it being short on taller people. Pictures really don't do the dress justice. It is really nice material and very thick. You can tell it's expensive.

The ONLY reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is falling apart a little.  I felt a little like a seamstress before wearing it. I had to trim the tweed on the top a lot because there were so many pulls and snags.  Also, obviously the lining on my specific dress was torn and redone because it hangs about an inch lower than the dress so i had to pin it up. Also, when I got it, it reeked of perfume so I am questioning if it was actually dry cleaned.

But really I love love love the dress...would buy it if I could.

This dress was an emergency backup dress for NYE. I was so relieved when it came because it looked great on. I had read the other reviews and knew to order a size up and was glad that I did. I am tall and the length wasn't too much of an issue.

I ordered the 10 but it was just to snug on my hips. I wore the 12 because it fit me better in the hips but the top half was so bulky. There seemed to be to much fabric. I was happy with this dress overall. Although the black slip underneath was longer than the actual dress. (Almost like it had been washed and then thrown in the dryer). I wore black tights so it wasn't very noticeable, but had I not, it would have looked very bad.

The fit was a bit on the smaller side. I ordered an 8 and a 10. I fit into the 8, but it was tough to sit down comfortably since there really is no stretch in this dress. The 10 gave me the little extra room that I needed. I received so many compliments! It was so amazing to wear such a beautiful dress. I felt fabulous all night long. Thank you!

Great dress! I got loads of compliments! It was a bit short and I had to pull it down all night. Also the lining was slightly visible at the hem. But other than that it was a great dress. 

It was a very cute dress. Got a lot of compliments on it and people asking me where I got it. I have a big butt, so the size 2 was way too small around that area. 

I loved this dress so much. I rented it for a New York City wedding and it was perfection. I got compliments all night long. If I could buy it and wear it to every wedding, I would! So flattering. 

This is the second time that I am renting from RTR and I loved this dress!  I ordered a size 2 and 4 for a 5:00 wedding...both fit, but I ended up wearing the 2.  It was comfortable and my husband liked it! The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it was a little loose in the neck area.  I wore a regular bra, which was great.  I can't wait for my next event to rent again.

The dress was GORGEOUS!  I loved it and got so many compliments, I did think it was a tad small around my waist but overall it was good.  It was such a pretty dress and I had a great time in it.

I think the fit was a little too small. I didn't think it was too short, however, I did get the size 4 and it wouldn't even go up over my hips (where normally I can do that with dresses!). The size 6 ended up fitting perfect. I really liked it and received many compliments throughout the night. I give it 5 stars because the size 6 was great!! 

I rented this dress for a wedding and it was perfect.  I have no hips or rear-end to speak of, but a full bust -- which makes it pretty hard to find a dress that fits well.  This dress fit beautifully through the hip area and, although the bust area was a little snug, it didn't look like I had to "squish" to make it work.  And it was wonderfully comfortable the whole night -- from the sit-down dinner to the dance floor! 

The fit was great. I am 5'10'' and it was a little short to go without tights. Otherwise, I highly recommend this style!
