This dress runs true to size, go a size small ONLY if you're between sizes. I read a bunch of the reviews and got a size 0 for my daughter. She's 5' 2", 115lbs, 34B... it was WAY too tight. I wish I had gone with my gut and got her a 2 instead of reading all the reviews of other women who's measurements were almost identical to my teenagers. SO disappointed because the dress is BEAUTIFUL and she really wanted to wear it. And no, we didn't get her a backup size because her dress was my "alternate".

Loved the navy and black combo and the lace-like detail at the top. I find that between a 6 and an 8 in lilly dresses, the biggest difference is the upper body around the chest / armpits. I think I ended up sporting the 6 so that the detail on the top would lay flat. The cut is very fun and flirty, but would caution super tall wearers that it felt short even on my 5'5 frame!

I wore this dress for a winter wedding. The fabric is very thick whch was nice and warm, it is also super stretchy so it was very comfortable to sit through the Caholic wedding mass and then to dance in all night. The design on the chest area is very pretty and I got a LOT of unexpected compliments on the dress. I paired it with some black tights and pumps and it was pretty much the perfect winter dress combo.

Likes: I love the color and length of the dress. Since I am short, the dress came down inches above my knee. I wore this for a wedding that had its ceremony outdoors in sunny breezy California and I also wore it for the reception indoors. It does have pockets, which was different. I paired it with black patent leather pumps, but I think you can wear nude pumps too. As people have said, the detailed top is a nude color. The dress is more on the conservative side, which is what I wanted, since I was with my grandparents. Dislikes: This dress was NOT flattering to my body type. I may be petite, but I have a full bust and I typically look more flattering in more fitted dresses, but the fitted dress I rented was too long. This was not the best dress for me, but I chose to wear it because I didn't have another other options. This dress definitely hides your curves and I don't recommend it for girls who have a full bust honestly; I just feel that it is not flattering and I was kind of disappointed.

I picked this dress for a winter affair and it was beautiful. I loved the details, especially in the ribbon and contrast of navy to black, really made it more elegant. I was afraid the netting under the Lacey part might be too light with my skintone, but it looked better than expected. I ended up wearing the 4, which can be hard because of my height, but it was a good length for me personally. The one thing I was not expecting was the slip beneath the actual dress material was voluminous and the bottom, I guess to give it more figure. Definetly a winter dress, do not recommend for warmer months. My service with RTR was also great, they were helpful when I wasn't ale to get to the post office because of a national holiday.

Comfortable Dress with Adorable Detail

I rented this dress to wear as a guest to an after Christmas wedding and could not have been more happy with it. I ended up pairing it with a black cardigan since, even in South Carolina, winter tends to be a bit chilly. Love that the dress has pockets but the lace detail on the front and back is what won me over. The only accessory I wore were a pair of black and pearl earrings I picked up from Forever 21. This dress does run a bit large--I typically wear a 12 but the 10 just had a nicer, fitted look and I was still comfortable. Even though the dress is sleeveless it is a thicker material so it would work in the cooler months. My only regret with this dress is that I was having too much fun wearing it that I forgot to take a picture in it!

I absolutely love this dress! Definitely glad I ordered two sizes because the dress runs a little big. I could have gotten away with the 6, but the 4 fit a little better. I wore this dress to an engagement party and it was so easy and comfortable to dance in! Not too long and not to short, and I loved the pockets. Dress accentuates your body without being too sexy. Very cute and appropriate for any occasion!

I wore this dress to a celebration of life service and got a lot of compliments. It was beautiful and appropriate for the event. I usually wear a size 2, but opted for the size 0 with spanx. The bigger size made me look like I had hips. Both sizes worked fine with my larger bust size. This was my first rental with RTR and I would do it again!

This was the dress I originally ordered for a Company Holiday party, but once RTR advised me they did not have my back up size, they worked with me to get me another back up dress. They shipped the second dress I picked out at no cextra charge to me. I received two absolutely gorgeous dresses, but the second dress jus had something special. I did however try this dress on and love it it, wish I had a back to back event to wear this to. The color looked more navy, the fabrick was soft & easy to move in, the lace details are very pretty and flattering. The dress has pockets (so my style). I have an event in February and I was thinking of getting this dress again and wearing it this time :)

When I began my rental process, this was the original dress I picked (in a size 8). However, I got a call from RTR and said the size 8 was no longer available which was a major disappointment. I still had them send the size 6 and another dress as the backup. This dress is AMAZING! I absolutely loved it, but it was just slightly on the small side (totally wearable) and I loved another dress even more that fit better. I would absolutely recommend and will probably end up renting this in the future!

I wore this to a Southern wedding in December. This was the first time I've ever worn a Lilly dress (they don't have Lilly stores in CA!) and I was blown away by the detailing and quality. I ordered size 8 and 6 even though I heard Lilly ran a bit big. I ended up wearing the 6 which was great fitting for my hips and butt but a bit large in the torso. Either way, it was super comfortable and a thick material so I was never worried about panty lines or anthing.

I'm not a huge Lily Pulitzer fan, and was surprised that I even liked this dress enough to rent it. It ended up being a great choice, and I received so many compliments on it throughout the evening! It's a great dress for "shoulder seasons"--spring, fall--because the material is heavy enough to give it substance without feeling too wintry, and the style is delicate enough without making it feel summery. It definitely runs a little large, so size down if you're on the fence. My only word of caution is that the embroidered/lace detailing at the top is not as much of an illusion as it appears in the photographs, unless you're very fair skinned. It's more of a mesh overlay on top of ivory fabric. If you're fair, this will look pretty close to your natural skin tone and have an illusion effect. My skin tone is a little darker, and it didn't look like an illusion. It was still nice, just not exactly what I'd expected based on the photos.

This was my first order with RTR. Everything about my experience was wonderful. I ordered a backup size of 0 since I can float between that and a 2. Both fit but I went with the 2 so that I could be sure I was comfortable dancing. The 0 felt a bit tight around my armpit area. I received a ton of compliments and the dress is very high quality. Would definitely recommend. Classy :)

I've been adding dresses to my favorites list, but never rented before. I had a wedding to go to and decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did, I got a great dress that I got a lot of compliments on! I'm most likely going to just rent dresses from here for weddings and events from now on since I rarely want to wear them again for the next wedding/event that comes up and wind up buying more dresses then I need.

This dress fits beautifully and looks elegant. Perfect for a formal affair! Perfectly flattering on the top and complementing flair on the bottom. It was a little linger than I thought it would be but it was beautiful.
