Unfortunately, the inner layer did not come for either size. I wore the outer shell over a tank & faux leather leggings. It was almost a total disaster. Also, this sheath had lots of "picks" on it. I would have been embarassed if this had been a formal event. 

It was a very comfortable dress. I did wear a size larger than normal, but I am very large breasted and hate tight dresses! The dress is 2 pieces, a slip and the sequin overlay. I wore the larger sized slip with the smaller sequin overlay. I was able to wear a normal bra, which was nice. 

I absolutely loved this dress. It was so comfortable and easy to wear. I didn't have to worry about any special undergarments to wear underneath it. I got a ton of compliments through out the night. 

I have been eyeing this dress for awhile and finally got to rent it.  I got so many compliments and felt confident and comfortable all night.  I did mix up the sizes, I wore the 16w slip and 14w overlay piece.  The slip fit perfectly but the 16w overlay was very big for me.   Would definitely recommend this!

I normally wear a size 14, and the 14W fit just fine. It didn't cling to me, or show my imperfections at all! I loved it!


The back is low so had to be creative with under garment. I maybe could have used the 14 but 16 was fine. A great experience overall.

2 pieces-the slip is much shorter than the top part. So comfy!

The lace was initially a bother but just became more careful and enjoyed eating and dancing all evening long!

Absolutely love this dress!!! I didn't want to send it back! Very comfortable, and stunning! RTR is amazing, and I will definitely be ordering again in the near future. 

I loved this dress! I actually ended up wearing the 16 for the outer layer of the dress and my backup was the 18 that I wore for the inside layer. I received many compliments on the dress and was comfortable the entire night. 

The dress is beautiful! I received many, many compliments on the dress and how it looked on me. I was very pleased with the actual dress. However, I did have issues that they sent my backup dress and it had a hole in it (in the beadwork part). When I contacted them about it, they immediately overnighted a replacement dress. I was very thankful for that so I could still have my choice of two sizes. But only the next day when I received the replacement dress there were two slips and no beadwork part. Leaving me with a few tears and frustrations, as I felt the 18 was too small. I ended up having to wear it. My husband said it looked fine in the 18. And since I did not have any other choice I went with it. I will try RTR again, and hopefully will not have quite so many problems! I was pleased with the look of the dress, & I do normally wear an 18, post baby #4 & that's the size I ended up wearing. 

Loved this dress! The downside of a dress with sequins is you have to be careful and conscious of snags, but this dress was very flattering and pretty true to size. Good at hiding flaws. Caught the light at my work holiday party and it was nice to be so sparkly. I got compliments all night on how pretty it was. The sleeves/shoulders were a little larger than what felt normal, maybe the dress I got was slightly stretched out. Other than that, it fit perfect and I highly recommend this dress!

I ordered this at the last minute and as usual RTR helped me in a jam. Very comfortable dress that runs large. Sequins snag a bit especially on hosiery but overall a lovely dress

It was so fun to wear such a beautiful dress. The sequin details catch the light and really make you shine.

The fit was true to size. I went with the 14W because I was nervous about it being fitted to tight. It was a little big on me and I could have went with a smaller size but 14W was the smallest it came in. It was not overly big on me to the point I could not wear it though.  I absolutely LOVED the dress! I received many compliments. It was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this dress and recommend rent the runway in general! 

I typically wear a size 16 but I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant, so I ordered a 16 and an 18-- ended up being very happy with the 16. It had room for my bump and boobs and ended up being a perfect fit. Only downside was if I was sitting too long, the mesh/sequins pressed into the backs of my legs, but that's easily fixed by walking around a little!

Cannot say enough about this dress...I am plus size. Hard to fit. This dress makes you look amazing...and you can't beat the price.  Many guests at the wedding came up to me and asked where this dress was from...it's so unique and flattering. This is 2 pieces...I wore the 20 but could have used the 18 with no problem. I wore this to a July wedding in NJ--100 degrees with 100% humidity---without a problem. It's not heavy. RTR's customer service is excellent---the size 18 dress was returned by another customer damages. RTR contacted me via email and told me this. They actually selected 2 additional rental dresses in similar styles for me (in case the 20 didn't fit).  I also could have selected a different rental free of charge, which would the be overnights to me. Thanks RTR!  PS my daughter is also in a RTR rental:) 

The dress was very pretty, but it was itchy and kept sticking to itself or getting caught on things. 

This was a great dress. I loved the sparkle. Length was appropriate and fit very well. There's room in this dress to breath. The arms were a little itchy bc of the fabric but overall no other problems. I'm curvy and this dress made me feel sexy and was comfortable. The slip and dress are two different pieces of material.  

I love how this dress fit.  It is very flattering and beautiful.  I did not know that it was a two piece dress.  You out the slip on first and then the sparkly part goes on over it.  It was a little itchy but nothing too bad.  It did snag every once and a while but I was very careful.  Everyone was complimenting my dress the entire time and It made me feel on top of the world.

Loved this dress! Received lots of compliments. I could have used one size smaller but that was my fault! Will definitely use RTR again!!!

I rented this dress for my sisters wedding.  I was very comfortable and felt confident in it!  I got a lot of compliments!! This was my very first experiencing renting a dress and would defiantly do it again!!!

Two pieces, a little bit bigger than I expected, amazing beautiful!

I loved the way this dress fit my pear shape. I got a lot of compliments. But I am giving it a four instead of a five for two reasons:
1. The dress has two pieces an under dress and an overlay. The underdress could have been an inch or two longer and a let out about and inch or two in the bottom hem...,it was a little tight at the bottom.
2. The sequins were a little rough on my sensitive skin, especially around the neck.

Being able to wear a normal bra and keep my arms covered was a huge plus for me!

Fit true to size. Outer layer doesn't have much give but it didn't keep me from moving and dancing all night. 

It fit great, but it didn't give my body a good shape (hung boxy). I loved the dress and felt comfortable in it all night. great for a wedding reception.

Runs pretty true to size. I wore the 14w slip and the 16w over for a little more room in the arms. (problem area for me)

This dress was overall beautiful and I received so many compliments. The dress was itchy by the end of the night. The dress also ran big for me I went down a size despite being three months pregnant. The dress was also short on my, I am 5'7 about and it would ride up when I sat down. Overall this dress was perfect for the wedding I went to and I would definitely recommend using RTR and will be using again !!!!   

The only issue (very minor) was that occasionally the sequins would get caught under the arms, but it only happened a couple of times.  Other than that the dress was beautiful.

I found it to be true to size, but my only complaint is the 16W which fit me well, appeared to be a little too short.    It was almost as if it had been hemmed.  It hit me mid thigh vs the 18W that was a little big overall, but fell just above the knee.  I chose to wear the larger size strictly for the length.

Dress fits very true to size, loose on the bottom and helps to hide belly areas. Very fun and sparkly, I got a ton of compliments on how "glamorous" of a dress this was and how so many people loved it. Only bad thing was that the fabric on the arms was a little itchy and irritating by the end of the night, but was completely bearable. Definitely recommend this!

The dress was slightly long on me.  It looked shorter in the photo.  Loved the fabrication.

I loved this dress. I wore it for VDay I am not quite at 16w so it was a tiny big on me in some areas. This dress is short - mid thigh- and when I sate it rode up a bit. I didn't have to wear spax with it which was nice. I could have a food baby and no would notice. 
The netting on the sleeve is a bit itchy on the arms at first but I got use to it after a while. 
Perfect dress. 

It ran a little large. I'd get two sizes smaller than your usual size. Frequently slipped off my shoulders. 

My non-pregnant size is about a 12, ordered a 14 and 16. The 16 was a little big, but comfy so I wore it! Fit my bump great, and was ok with flats! Got a ton of compliments and made me feel awesome :) the sparkle was fantastic!

I rented this dress for a formal wedding. I saw other reviews mentioning people renting two sizes and wearing the smaller size in the dress and the larger size in the overlay. I ended up doing that, but I could have worn the smaller size in both pieces of the dress. I got tons of compliments and the dress was comfortable! It was perfect for the wedding! 

I ended up using the form fitting part of the dress (size 14) and the shimmery top part of the dress (size 16). Pros, it fit and was stretchy! Cons, the shimmering part of the dress was a bit stiff and uncomfortable. I think it was a bit too long too since I had to wear flats.
