I rented this dress for my brother's wedding. I usually wear between a 2 and 4 -- only got the 2, since the 4 was out by the time I got around to ordering, and it fit, so I'd say this runs TTS. The colors are a bit brighter than they appear online, and the whole effect is a bit more summery/pink. I was concerned that the ruffles would be too much, but they were fine: girly, yes, but definitely not frilly and over-the-top. There are two snaps at the waist on the right and left side to keep the dress in place. I liked this, because the snaps made it more secure than just tying it would have, but this also means there is less wiggle room! If you carry weight around your middle, the fit may be uncomfortably tight. There is also a hook-and-eye closure at the bust to avert any potential mishaps. I loved that considerate design touch! I am 5'6", wore 3" heels, and the dress hit a bit above my knee, which I was happy with. Previous reviews noted that there aren't any snaps down the leg, so there's nothing to prevent the dress from blowing open in the wind. That's true, but I also want to point out that there's a good six or eight inches of overlap (of the two "sides" of the dress) in the front, so it actually felt pretty secure to me, if that makes sense. This dress is comfortable, pretty, and well made. I highly recommend it!
