The fit was great! The material wasn't constricting and it fit well in all the right places. I am pretty small up top and curvy below, but it also worked on my friend (left) in the next size up and looked great on her (she almost stole it and matched me). It was really comfortable. You need to wear a stick on bra since the back is intricate. I wouldn't wear underwear with it or go bra-less because it is very thin material, even if it is seamless. It was stunning and I got tons of compliments on it. Recommend it!

This dress was so awesome. I was a little worried about the fit at first because it looked a little tight, but it fit perfectly. The only issues I had were that it was a little shorter and lower cut than I originally thought. If you're on the fence about length I would definitely go long.

Wore this for a beach wedding in Puerto Rico. The material was light and easy/flowy. The only complaint I had was that the dress was too short! I'm not a tall person - I'm 5'4" and wore the 2R, it skimmed my ankles!! This wasn't in any of the other reviews so I don't know if it was just something wrong with the dress I received or the fit in general. I had to wear 2in heels (not the ones I'd wanted to pair :( ) because it was so awkward looking.

This dress is great- so many compliments. I usually wear a size 4, but got the 6 as my back-up. The waist was very fitted, but the bottom was a little loose. Not sure if it was the style, but I wish I got the 2 to try it out. Customer service was also amazing. Due to Hurricane Sandy, it was hard for me to get the dress returned on time. RTR was super understanding and easy to work with.

The color is amazing! I received compliments all night long! For the fit, I am 5'10" and I typically wear a size 4/6. I ordered at 6L in this dress. Even with the extra length, I had to wear flats with this gown. For taller girls I recommend preparing to wear flats. The only fit challenge was that the straps were slightly big and the top was slightly large, so I occasionally had a strap slip over my shoulder. Other then that I got a TON of compliments, the color popped and got attention, and the fabric was soft, forgiving, and stretchy. I wore nude, smooth underwear and I didn't see any lines. I will definitely order more Issa gowns for the future, I think this style works well on long and lean types!

INCREDIBLE dress, I felt amazing in it. Perfect dress for the occasion, my boyfriend was totally mesmerized. I received compliments all night long, on both the color and the fit. Fit highlights: defined waist, flattering neckline (so pretty on athletic shoulders), the beautiful open back, very sexy material. It is extremely thin material, you will need seamless panties (spanx will show through). The nubra worked amazing -- first time in my life I had cleavage, and I loved it. Seriously nubra, where have you been all my life? I used a bit of fashion tape to make sure the dress stayed put when I leaned over. I was concerned about the length so I contacted a stylist and received excellent advice. I wore 3.25 inch heels, the 4L was the perfect length (it touched the ground but I wasn't tripping on it, no problem dancing). The 4L fit like a glove, in the best possible way. The 6L would have been fine too, but definitely less of an impact. Also one of the straps seemed to be a little too long -- I'm sure fashion tape would have fixed it just fine had I decided to wear it. Sorry the photos are not very good quality -- once the official ones come through I will replace. Thanks RTR!!!!

This gown really is comfortable yet sexy at the same time. I love the criss-cross detail at the back, but this does require a NuBra due to its exposed nature. I would recommend SPANX since the skirt is somewhat fitted, but they aren't 100% necessary. Overall, this is such a unique gown that you will really fall in love with.

This dress is soooo short, definitely has the wrong measurements on the website. My roommate tried it on and she's 5'3, it was 3-4 inches above her ankle, no way you could wear it. I'm 5'7 and just held it up to myself and knew it was way to short. I think it would only work if you we're 4'5. Anyway I had 2 backup dresses so I was okay!

It ran big but not long enough came to my mid shin - I ordered this because it was long! Also, it arrived wrinkled and is not even lined! I assumed renting a dress for $150 the quality would be much better. DO NOT rent this dress.

I rented both the 4R and the 6R, and while the 4 fit well on my upper body, it was incredibly short (it hit around my ankles). The 6, in contrast, was a bit big on top, but was long enough to wear with heels. Aside from the length, the dress was a gorgeous color, very comfortable and easy to dance in, and received many compliments. Overall, I was happy with it.

The 6R was sooo short! I am not tall (5'4"), and I had to wear flats with this dress and it was still an inch or so short. The dress looked really casual because of the jersey material and the fact that I couldn't wear heels with it. I think it would be cute for a summer or beach wedding, but don't rent if you are looking for something that is strictly black tie.

Such a beautiful dress and color. Unfortunately the one I was sent was way too short. I ordered a 4L and it grazed my ankles. I couldn't even wear with flats. RTR was so understanding and responded promptly. It probably shrunk in one of the dry clean cycles. They offered to refund or send a different dress, but luckily I ordered a back up that worked.

This is a beautiful dress and very flattering. I am 5'2", and ordered a 4R and it was much too short. I probably wouldn't have been able to wear heels with it, and ended up not being able to wear this dress. The fabric is thick, and I probably would not have needed to wear a bra with this dress.

Dress runs large and too short...

As many reviewers have said, this dress is short. I'm 5'7" and I ordered the Long and it was still too short,; it stopped at my ankles! Uh, not good. One of the stylists told me that they've been finding that the fabric is shrinking on this dress with each cleaning. It's an incredible color, but it is a basic, no frills dress so something like it being too short really stands out. If you are shorter, then go for this dress, but still order the long! If I was more like 5'4", the long would have been perfect. I love ISSA, but I find them difficult with sizing. Some of their dresses are in US, some in UK, and they don't match up. For instance, this dress in a 4 was too big, but a similar long green dress (the Cloverfield gown) in the equivalent UK size (an 8) was too small. How is that? I don't know. So just a warning to be careful with the size you order (definitely chat with a stylist before you order this designer) and the length. Ask a lot of questions, it's been frustrating to deal with ISSA and their inconsistent sizing. Also, the fabric on this particular dress is thin and not that nice and, for a not rental that is not cheap, I'd expect more.

I'm 5'5" and rented the 2R. The fit was great, but the dress was entirely too short. I definitely needed the long. Believe the reviews! This dress is entirely too short. Order the long, unless you're very short. It came to my ankles barefoot. Plus, the material doesn't feel all that great. But, the color is pretty.

I loved this dress. I wish I had also ordered a size smaller, as it was a little big -- but overall, I was really comfortable. I would order this dress again. I did wear spanx with it to keep things smooth under the jersey fabric -- and the nu bra. I used a little tape to keep the dress covering the bra.

I fell in love with the color and simplicity of this dress but it is REALLY short, like ankle-length. I would have loved to wear it because otherwise its so pretty but if you are over 5'1 and the L length is not available skip this dress. Unfortunately, there was not a 2 L available for when I needed it but thanks the the amazing RTR stylist, Megan a different dress is on the way! RTS's service does not ever disappoint!

I got this dress in 2 sizes for a black tie event. I tried both dress sizes on and the fit was amazing, the back detail is awesome, and the color is really nice but both dresses only came down to right above my ankle. I couldn't have even worn the dress with flats. I am 5'6 and 1/2" and from the pictures it appeared that the dress was long enough to cover a kitten heel. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't wear the dress. I ended up wearing a different dress that I already had.

I didn't wear this dress because I ordered two sizes, the 2L and the 4L and neither fit well. I normally wear a size 2 but the 2 in this dress was too tight at the waistband, though the straps and hips were too big. The 4 was too big everywhere. There seemed to be a big difference between the two sizes. I'm not sure if I should say this runs small or runs big, b/c the 2 was too small only in the waist but the 4 seemed much bigger than a 4.

Gorgeous gown, very lightweight and easy to wear (everything stays in place), length was great with 2 1/2 inch heels. I am usually size 0 or 2, the size 2R fit great, a bit tight on the waist but felt great in it at a black tie wedding.

Great easy dress!

Loved this dress. While the site recommended going up for a backup size, I found the 6L to be slightly large even though I am normally a 6, and I probably could have worn the 4L for a more fitted look (but my backup size was the 8L). The length was fine one me (I'm 5'10") in flats or smaller heels, but I could not have worn anything that was 3 inches or above, as it would have been too short on me. Loved the dress and it was comfortable and easy to wear (but be aware that you can't wear a normal bra because of the low back -- you either have to go without or wear a stick-on).
