This is a beautiful dress that pictures cannot do justice. The only con is that it runs small, very small. I am 5'4", 115lb and a size 2 with a 34C bust. The 34 and and 36 (which I believe is the equivalent of a 2 and a 4) were ridiculously small, I could not zip them up. Rent The Runway was great and overnighted me size 38 and 40. The 38 (size 6) fit perfectly. So I would say order 2 sizes above your normal size when ordering this dress.

I'm 6' 0" with a long, lanky body and a small 34C bust. This dress in size 40L was perfect on me with 2-inch heels. It fit like a glove, and I could not have asked for a better rental. It fit tight (but not uncomfortably so) on my chest, so I had no worries of any wardrobe malfunction! Because I'm pretty small-busted I didn't wear a strapless bra. I felt great in it all night long, and my husband kept telling me how beautiful I looked!

As most other reviewers mentioned it does run a bit small in the bust. However, I'm a 32DD or E and ended up wearing this without a bra -which i have never done EVER in my whole life - and i was snuggly zipped up for the night and it looked great. Color is really beautfiul - i rented the necklace shown on the model and was equally happy with it.

I got this dress as a backup because I wanted a 4R but they only had a 2R available. I usually wear a 0 so I thought it might fit but it was about an inch from being able to zip up. I do not have a particularly large rib cage or chest so definitely make sure to pick your size accordingly! I was pretty sad because the dress was such a beautiful purple color!

It was gorgeous and the color was richer than it looks in the photo, however the 4R was really tight around the ribcage and I probably couldve squeezed into it but i didnt want to be uncomfortable all night so I didnt end up wearing it.

This gown is beautiful! However, as others have said, it is soooo small in the chest area! I couldn't even zip it up. (There's a zip under the arm) I so wanted to wear this dress because the color is stunning! But I had to return it unworn b/c no matter how hard I tried, there was NO way it would fit my chest area. I may reorder a larger size for a future event......that is how much I liked it!

Ok seriously - you need to order at least 2 sizes up! I'm usually a 0-2 or XS - S in RTR dresses and I couldn't not even zip the 36 up. The 38 was a tad bit big in the bust for me but still worked great. I'm a 32/34 B and weigh 120 pds for anyone that might want measurements. Seriously - go biggers or you will be disappointed. Also if you are 5'6 or above and plan to wear heels that are at least 3 inches - get a long! The regular size was only an inch or so past my feet when I wasn't wearing heels. Overall - I loved the dress... it's just difficult to pick the right size!!

This dress was beautiful. I rented it for a black tie wedding in Miami. The color (which is fairly purple) was lovely, and it was a nice light weight fabric. It fit perfectly, but it was too short! The 40 fit me perfectly, and I am usually about an 8 depending on brand. You can also wear a strapless bra underneath, which is nice. After reading all the reviews, I thought the regular length would be the way to go. I'm 5'7", and this dress was too short even with bare feet. I wouldn't even have been able to wear it with flats. Luckily, the second choice of dress I ordered fit perfectly!

I loved this dress. I wore it to a USMA West Point formal and it was perfect! The length was amazing. It's usually so hard for me to find dresses that are long enough to wear with decently high heels, but the long size was great. The material was super soft and comfortable to sit and dance in all night. The color is richer than the picture portrays, but is absolutely beautiful. I got tons of compliments! Definitely recommend.

I wore this to my daughter's bat mitzva which was a red carpet theme. It was exactly what I was looking for - somewhere between cocktail and formal. The fabric was a light silk crepe. The cut was incredibly flattering. The way the one shoulder started closer to the center instead of by the armpit was very attractive (sexy?). I think of myself between a 4 and a 6 so I ordered the 36L and the 38L. Didn't even try the 36 on. The 38 fit perfectly with 3-4 inch heels. There was boning so I didn't even have to wear a strapless bra. Super comfortable. I had never rented a dress before - I would absolutely do it again. What a great experience!

I rented this for a wedding and couldnt wear it because i couldnt clasp it around the bust, even without a bra. Its so very very small. I wear a 34B/32C and I was about 4 inches from being able to get this one. The dress is otherwise gorgeous and flowy and the perfect length if you are 5´5 with 3 inch heels.

I ordered a 10R and 12L and could not wear either of them. A 10L would have been perfect, but wasn't available. I am 5'6.5" and the R size dress came up past my ankles! The longer length was perfect with heels though. I usually wear a size 10 and the size 12 swallowed me up. RTR was amazing and sent me a completely new dress the day of my event that I absolutely loved.

This dress is much prettier in person. The color (lighter than regular navy, with a little purple) and detail are so pretty up but I chose not to wear it, because a dimly lit room just wasn't going to do it justice. I'm just over 5'3" and it was a little long with 4" heels but I think it would have been manageable. The 38 was snug through the chest but not uncomfortably so. It was flattering and I loved that it wasn't form fitting so spanx wouldn't be necessary. It was a really tough choice between this and the other dress I rented. I almost wish I had 2 events to go to!

Off the shoulder is oh so modern. This gown flows nicely which means it might cover some imperfection of the tummy if you get my drift. It was a little long but my 3" heels did the trick for my 5'6" self. I did have to squeeze and hold my breath to get my 36B chest in there but the top never slipped or moved which is a bonus when it comes to off-the-shoulder. I would rent it again.

I'm giving this dress 3 stars only because it's so pretty and would likely look stunning on a tall person. I'm 5'3" and was unable to wear the Regular length dress - even with 3 1/2 inch heels, it was about 4" too long. I would have been tripping over it all night. Although the RTR size guide says it is 58" long, it is actually 61"- 62" long when measured without being held up by the hanger straps. It runs a little large. I'm normally a 4, but the 2 fit well other than the length. It's a gorgeous dress - I just wish I could have worn it!
