I got so many compliments on this dress, it was so beautiful. The color made my dress stand out from everyone else's at prom! I originally got a Nicole Miller dress from here as my first choice, thinking I would have this one as a backup, but ended up wearing this one instead. It was so comfortable, and I was happy in it all night! It's not as tight and figure hugging on me as it is on other people, but I'm very petite. It was still gorgeous. The electric blue really brought out my skin and eyes and the slits and low, lace back make it very dramatic! I'm usually a 00 Petite, but the 0R fit just fine with 6 inch heels, and I only had a few inches of the dress on the ground, which was alright because of the slits. I didn't even have to pick it up to walk for the most part. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone! If you are taller than 5"4 and want to wear heels, I would recommend you get the Long size instead.

This dress accentuates all the assets! It hugs your curves and highlights the legs with the sexy slits in the front. As others have mentioned, it is a bit tight in the bust so be sure to take that into consideration. I had to have my friend help with the zipper. I received many compliments from men and women!

I used this dress for prom and it couldn't have been more fitting for the occasion. I felt so comfortable the whole night and the dress was so subtly revealing. The back is amazing and the slit in the leg is not uncomfortable at all. I usually wear an 8 but a 10 fit much more comfortable.

Pros - The cut is so flattering because it enhances your curves; the neckline is low but completely straight, so for bustier women, it's a somewhat modest way to show cleavage. Cons - I'm 5'7, so once I put on heels it no longer grazed the floor like it does on the model in the photo. I recommend this dress 100%

I usually wear a size 6 but at times can wear an 8. In this dress the chest was way to snug in the 6 so I opted for the 8. It was very sexy and I recieved compliments all night. It was an extremely comfortable dress too. I danced all night long and in fact this pic was taken at around 2 am when we got back to our room. I tried this dress on in the BCBG store and fell in love-but not with the $400 price sticker. When I stubbled upon this online I was so happy! I fit great in an 8 in stores but ordered a 10 for a backup. RTR reinforced the zipper and had slight alterations so the size wasn't true to original dress, so I would suggest going up one size. This was my first time using RTR and I loved it!!! amazing dress I would highly recommend it!

Like everyone else has said, the picture on the website does NOT do this dress justice. This dress is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL in person! Everyone commented on how flattering it was! I did not want to return this dress. I HIGHLY suggest this dress to anyone and everyone! This was my first experience with Rent the Runway, and I will most definitely be using it many more times! It was so easy, especially for someone who is really busy and doesn't have time or money to go shopping.

I loved this unconventional dress. As others have said, it does run small so size up.I fit into both the 4 and the 6, but chose the 6 because the 4 had a tiny tear in one of the slits! Presumably overlooked the last time the dress was checked in. As for the slits, they are fairly high and walking took some getting used to, but if you are proud of your legs you will love this dress. I found it hard to sit down because all the fabric spills away, but I pulled one side over the top of my legs to cover up. The back of the dress is stunning and the chest area is very flattering. The length was perfect after I took my shoes off, but shorter girls will be able to wear heels the whole time. I wore it with spanx to cinch in my stomach and other problem areas, and it seemed to work just fine. The dress will accentuate curves so if you're self-conscious about your hips, choose something else! Otherwise, the dress was a perfect statement dress and I was thrilled with my experience.

The dress was very form fitting, but accentuates curves in all the right places. The fabric has high cover so if you are fuller chested you won't need to worry about wearing an undergarment (It was hard enough to zip the top all the way up!) Once I was zipped in, the dress felt amazing. I got compliments all night long and felt super classy!

I absolutely loved wearing this dress! I wore it to a ball for grad school, and it was perfect for the affair. The blue is much brighter than the picture, and it really popped and complimented my skin tone (I admit, I got a spray tan before the event). I'm 5'9", 130 lbs., 32C and the 2L dress fit wonderfully. I have more of a ruler frame, and there was a little extra material in the hip area, but it wasn't noticeable to anyone but me. I wore 3" heels and the length was perfect. Since the lace on the back had a tan, almost nylons-type material fabric underneath it, I was able to wear a nude strapless bra. I did wear nude spanx, which worked well since the dress was tight in the stomach area and the ball that night included dinner. I wore my hair up which allowed me to showcase the back of the dress and gold jewelry/shoes. Overall, it was an absolute hit!

Rented this dress for a ball, and loved it. I'm 5'7 so I rented the LONG, and I needed high heels to keep from walking on it. It was a little loose around the waist, but not super noticeable. The back insert with the lace is actually lightly lined with a nude colored fabric, which I really liked.

This dress was so beautiful and perfect for a formal occasion. I wore it to my senior ball and received compliments all night. It's the perfect mix of sophisticated and sexy! I was worried at first that it would be tight in the bust area but it ended up fitting just right. I wore a nude bra underneath for extra support and you couldn't see it at all under the lace. There's a nude underlay under the lace in the back so it hid the strap perfectly.

I have worn countless BCBG gowns and almost always wear an 8 or a 10. I rented the 10 to 12 as RTR didn't have an 8. Thank goodness I rented the 12, It was tight but wearable. Undergarments are hard with this dress as the back is lace but you could definitely get away with a clear back bra if you wanted.

I am normally a size 2 and that is the size I ended up wearing. Fit like a glove. I am 5'6" and got the long because I was going to wear a 2.5" inch heel. I am glad I got the long. Made the dress touch the floor and look much more elegant. I am a B cup, but didn't need a bra due to the fit of the dress being fitted. Loved this new BCBG dress. Comfortable fit. Does have a side zipper and it can run a little snug in the bust so I would recommend sizing up if you are a C cup or larger. Highly recommend this dress for pears as the slits give some room on the bottom of the dress. It's beautiful and very high quality! Would be great for a black tie event. Would be great with gold or silver jewelry!

At a conservative formal work event, my dress stood out in a good way without being too provocative

this dress works extremely well for women with curves. i found that the photos of the "real girls" gives you a much better idea of how the fit is, as opposed to the photo of the model. If you're tall and thin, the dress just sort of hangs, at least based on the photo of the model. The lace detail in the back is gorgeous, and the color is much more vibrant in real life. I rented the 8R and the 10R, and while the 10R was a bit more comfortable in the body, it didn't hold my chest in as much as I'd like, so i went with the 8R and a pair of spanks. The slits are ok when you're standing still but walking can get a bit awkward. I wore 3 1/2 inch heels and the length was still a bit long, but it was do-able. Overall the fit worked with my curvy frame; i was sad to have to take the dress off at the end of the night! the fabric is a beautiful crepe and is lined throughout; i didn't wear anything underneath it beyond my spanx nylons for fear of lines showing. I wore a nude patent leather peep toe heel but you could barely see them because of the length.

I actually bought this dress from Macy's then decided to rent it since I wasn't sure if I would ever wear it again. I bought a size 6 and it was perfect so I rented the 6R and 6L and never even tried on the R since the longer one was perfect with my heels, which were 4in wedges. The dresses were also in perfect condition, seemed like new. I didn't need a bra but wore stickies for some support. The slits are amazing! I was really nervous they would be too revealing and go too highup on my leg but they are perfect as long as you are OK with showing your legs (especially when you walk or sit). The fit on this dress is so flattering, especially if you are a little curvier. It hugs you in all the right places, no spanx necessary and makes your butt look great! The model really does not do it justice at all. The color is also beautiful, a perfect cobalt blue that is not too bright. I really can't say enough good things about this dress, I wish I could wear it everyday :)

The dress was a regular length, but was very long. I was able to tack up them hem with no damage to dress. The slits are at thigh height. So you might want to check that. The bust was a little small for me but the fabric gave in that area.Nice touch with back lace. very pretty

This dress was lovely and high quality. A brighter, more jewel toned blue than pictured which I was glad for. The lace details have a nude mesh underneath them that would hide a more modest bra. I ended up choosing another dress since I would be chasing a two year old and needed to be able to move. It's a very sliming and flattering cut and the square neckline did good things for my bust. I will say it ran VERY long which I was prepared for. I took up the hem using some of the temporary hem tape they sell on this site. The hem tape worked well although it is hard to "hem" an edge cut on the bias like this one. I also always feel a little better in a dress like this with a shaper underneath, however even in a nude tone you could see the shaper underneath the lace back which I did not like at all. The strapless bra was not too noticeable though. If you rent this dress, be prepared to have a backless bustier (or the like) or no shapewear at all.

This dress is breathtaking! Best part is that the Lace Part is LINED so that you CAN wear a bra! My favorite part was the leg slits- I wanted to sashay around the event all night long like I was on a runway! I'm 5'10, and even with the long size, I was only able to wear 3" heels, so beware if you want to wear high heels with it. Also, if you wear spanx underneath, be sure to pull them up far enough so they don't peek out. Dress color is more of a dark cobalt blue than navy. Overall, BEAUTIFUL dress!!!

Classy, yet Sassy!

I reserved this dress for my boyfriend's brother's wedding before there was a single review written for it... so I was a bit scared. When the dress arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find the color is much brighter and 'younger' than the one pictured on the RTR website. I usually wear a 6 in dresses, but luckily I got a backup size in an 8 - because the 6 was wayyy too stretched in the hip region. The lace in the back is beautiful - the slits are sexy - and the dress twirls beautifully on the dance floor. It looks conservative when you're standing still - but then you walk... and the legs are on the display - so just beware, but it's not as scandalous as you might think. Only negative is the cap sleeves make it a tad uncomfortable to put your hands in the air - but that's only a problem if you're a crazy dancer! ;) You can also get away with wearing a nude colored strapless bra. I bought a backless bra - and ended up returning it when I tried the dress on with a regular bra.

The fit was very true to size. The slits in the front were slightly out of my comfort zone, but I loved every other aspect of the dress. I ordered the Long length and was able to wear 3 1/2 inch heels.

The only problem was.....I kept stepping on the bottom of the dress. I thought I would actually catch it on my heel and fall but I was fortunately lucky to not experience that disaster. Thank you for everything and I will always recommend "Rent the Runway" to all my friend and family.

The reviews on this website are incredibly helpful and this dress needs more of them! I found out the wedding I was going to was black tie TWO nights before the event!! I rented a few dresses in a panic and the girl on the phone was a HUGE help. This dress ended up being beautiful. The color and detailing on the back was amazing! I'm typically a size 4, but the 6R fit best.

This dress is really lovely. It's got great lines and does amazing things for your bust. However, the two slits have a kind of loin-cloth effect, so if you're not comfortable with both of your legs being mostly visible most of the time, you won't be comfortable in this dress. If you stand perfectly still, everything's covered, but walking or sitting reveals a lot. The 8L was a good fit and the perfect length with 3" heels, but I did need Spanx under the dress and couldn't fit a bra under it.
