This dress was an emergency backup shipment since my original order was a disaster. This dress was perfect for anyone on the short side (I'm 5'2"). It was only a little bit long with my heels but it wasn't uncomfortable or tacky. You can wear a regular bra with it so, not having to fuss with a strapless all night was great. Also, I didn't look like a disco ball.

Wore the gown to a college alumni scholarship gala. It was true to size for me and able to wear a regular bra. Ordered the long and wore 3" heels and that worked out good. I wore it to an annual benefit Ball and halfway through the evening i was approached by a local news personality who told me she had been admiring my dress all evening. I wore it with long black gloves which kicked it into Audrey Hepburn mode (long silver gloves would have also been awesome). I did get the alternate (free) size 8, which was a good idea because the size 6 was too small. The band is slightly higher on the waist and it runs long so if you are shorter this probably isn't the dress for you unless you don't mind a train, otherwise its the kinfd of dress that would complement any body type. I absolutely LOVED it. I also rented the suggested earrings which were a Perfect compliment.

I'm am 5'8 and built straight up and down with a full bust and the dress fit slightly large which made it fall off the shoulder but that made it look even more sexy. The waist remained semi fitted which was great. Received MANY MANY compliments "you look like a model" was my favorite comment! Will definitely rent again!!

I had ordered this as my backup dress in the 8R. It was too big. On Friday, I called Customer Service and they sent me a backup in the 6R and i had it in time for the event! I got a lot of compliments and the dress is so comfortable and you can wear it with a regular bra! It does run big so I recommend ordering a size down.

This dress is such as easy fit! The empire waist and deep v-neck make it extremely flattering. I also loved the sequin detail, definitely made the dress really special. This dress runs pretty true to size, I would recommend sizing down in backup especially if you are smaller. Overall, you can not go wrong with this gown!

This is a gorgeous dress. Unfortunately I was unable to wear it because the 6 was not available when I rented. I tried the 4 since some people said it ran big (my normal size but I am currently pregnant) and it was definitely a true 4. It is roomy in the hips but narrow at the rib cage. In the right size it would have been gorgeous and comfortable. The petite length is definitely short. I could have probably worn flats. For 5'2" I would recommend the regular length if you want to wear heels over 1 inch.

I ordered the 12R and the 12L as a backup. Glad I did. The 12R fits tighter than the 12L and also barely touches the ground. The 12L enabled me to wear a 3 inch heel. The zipper is very difficult to zip but will work if you just keep working at it. I wore a bra without any problem and had no problem with gaping in the front. The cut of the dress made my hips look even larger than they were.

Worry free fit, but short.

I rented this dress because it seemed like I would not have to worry about it fitting over my tiny top and my larger hip / bottom. I always worry about renting a fitted dress because I usually have to get my gowns altered, and this dress fit the bill. The dress itself is not overwhelmingly spectacular but I needed a dress and it worked for the event. If you are 5'4" or taller and are planning on wearing heels I would order a Long. I rented a Regular and with even low heels there was too much of a gap, so I wore flats. A dress like this looks silly if it doesn't hit the ground. Final note: buy some fashion tape or you will be pulling at the neckline all night in an effort to keep your bra covered.

I love this gown! My husband said I looked like a million bucks! I felt like two million. It is extremely flattering and very comfortable. The fabric is stretchy but not clingy because of the sequins. The V neck plunges a bit too much for my comfort, so I put in a loose stitch that I easily removed after the wedding. I felt a bit overdressed for a Sunday afternoon-into-evening wedding, but the magnificence and elegance of the dress overcame my hesitation. This is a fabulous dress. Highly recommend! Rented this gown last minute for a museum gala and was satisfied with my choice. With 3 1/2 inch heels, the length was perfect. I have a small frame and loved that the dress gave the illusion of a curvier figure. My only quarrel with the gown was the low cut of the neck, which would not have been an issue had I had the time to put in a small stitch. Safety pin to the rescue! This was my first rental, and I will definitely be using RTR again.

This gown was more beautiful in person. It fit wonderfully, and the fabric does have a little stretch to it. The length was perfect (I'm 5'5"), and I wore a 2 inch heel. The dress just skimmed the top of my shoe, so no dragging on the ground. I was a little worried about the sequins rubbing on my underarms, but I didn't have any issues. It was also great to be able to wear a normal bra with this dress. I would rent this same dress again!

I received a flood of compliments all night. I'm 6'0'', have a 36DD bust, and am in between sizes 6 and 8 and read that the dress ran a little large, so ordered the size 6 and 8. The size 6 fit perfectly and the dress wasn't too tight or loose in the bust. I did need 2 fasteners for the back of it since the top of my bra was peeking up in the back, but wore a normal bra and it never showed in the front. The v-neck was deep but not completely immodest. A wonderful dress for a ball!

The length was perfect, but a little too loose in the bust. I had to use a fair amount of double-sided tape to hold everything in place. (I'm a 36B). Otherwise, a wonderful dress. I agree that it is one the shorter side so I ordered the L and it was perfect with 3.5 inch heels. The zipper is in fact difficult to close but manageable. The front is too low cut and it had to be fixed with hollywood tape and then it was fine. It was my first RTR experience and I am satisfied as I have no time for shopping with a baby and full time career. I think that this is a very glamourous dress and super easy to wear.

The length was great with some 2-inch heels (I'm 5'0") and the dress was really comfortable. The waist hit me around my ribs and was snug when I was putting on the dress but fit fine as I wore it (and because it hit high, I didn't feel squished after eating!). The v-back is about bra strap level on me, so I wore a black bra and it all worked out great. The bust is definitely full -- I wear a 30DD (or 32D when the dropdown menu won't allow me to put my real size in!) -- so those without large boobs may want to use the hollywood tape. It fit me just right, though, and I got compliments from my friends all night!

I ordered both the 8R and the 8L (as I tried the dress on in a pop-up showroom for Inauguration). I'm 5'6" and the regular was entirely too short without shoes on. The long fit perfectly. The only issue was the zipper was near impossible to get up (and not because of the size of the dress). I had to have a girlfriend zip me into dress and it took awhile.

I really liked this dress. It was easy to wear, comfortable, and no crazy strapless bras or tape needed :) The only downside is that the 4L was kind of short. I was hoping to be able to wear 2 inch (or higher) heels but I had to wear flats (I am 5' 9.5"). The draping on the dress gave me some extra "bulk" in my hip area which didn't bother me but I could see how it might bother some.

I typically would wear an 8L so I got the 8 and the 6. As other reviews had mentioned it did run large and the 6L was perfect. Some had mentioned the long was too long... I am 5'9 and only wore 3 inch heels and it was perfect. As others mentioned the zipper on both dresses was a bit challanging but I think its because its made so well with the ruching and the nice lining.. I also found this dress fit nicer without a bra or body spanx.. I just wore spanx hosery. LOVE RTR wll be ordering again soon for a March wedding!

Wore this to a black tie wedding on NYE. This was not the dress I intended to receive. Same dress in gold was what I ordered, but RTR was having some issues, apparently. Aside from the disappointment, it was an acceptable replacement. My 'backup' dress was also a Mischka Badgley. But I only had it in a size 2L and it was not going to stay up around my chest without some fidgeting. It also ran longer. I'm 5'8" and the L was good in this dress (perfect). Dress does run large - would not typically call myself a 0. A 2 or 4. It was comfortable, easy to dance in at the wedding. And it was a stand-out.
