The dress runs small- the 2 fit me and i'm usually a 4 or sometimes 6. Plenty of room in bust. Interesting draping on the hips- some may not like it. It is beautiful and elegant. So simple and makes your face and hair stand out. Nice slit too for easy movement. Loved it and love the pics!

Best night ever and that is bc I liked this dress more than my wedding dress. Still the same man after 16 years but my style has evolved. I have never felt more glamorous! I am a hard fit for dresses. 5'10" and very broad shoulders and rib cage from sports and Pilates. I have tried so many times to find the perfect dress to find it hanging off my lower body like a potato sack. This dress hung perfectly in all the right places. I thought the fit was wonderful. I ordered the long so I could wear heels with it, and the length was just right. At times the sleeves felt a bit short, but they looked great. The fabric has weight to it which I appreciated, because then the bottom didn't flap everywhere in the wind while I was walking. Overall, fantastic choice! And let's be real... it's Badgley Mischka. I knew it would be amazing.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous! It went perfect with my red carpet themed prom! I was getting compliments on it all night and I am nothing but happy with the choice I made! Okay, so, as far as fit goes: it's not that this dress runs large, it's just made of very stretchy material. It's easy to fit into. I normally wear a size 6 (which looked better on me-I'll get to that in a moment) but I went with the 4. I am very tall for my age so, when I was ordering my dresses, I needed to get the 'long' versions. They didn't have the 6L available so I went with the 4L-which I don't mind-but the 6P looked better, it was just too short. I'm 5'7" and wore 3 inch heels and the 4L barely grazed the ground. Other than my preferred size not being available, the dress is beautiful and I am VERY pleased with this site. OH! And the dresses came with a cute little goodie bag!

This dress was perfect for a March event. I wore it to a fundraising ball and paired with a big neckace. The rouching seemed a little stretched out but it may have been how the dress actual is. It draped/hung below my belly button. I am tiny on top/waist with a thicker bottom so maybe that's why. You will def need the long if you are wearing heels. I am 5'6 and the regular length was too short. I did end up wearing sheer black hose. I felt the slit was a little high when I sat down and just felt better with something on my legs. This dress gave me confidence and received compliments all night long.

This dress is phenomenal, flattering, the definition of understated glamor. The fabric is substantial and the drape creates interest and smooths, and it falls perfectly to create an hourglass figure. The slit shows enough skin to balance the look, but isn't high enough for a wardrobe mishap. It was comfortable and easy to move in. Do take care to order the right length, you will probably need to order a longer size than you think. I am 5'11" and wore a 14L, but if I had worn stilettos, I would have needed a 14XL. I would absolutely rent this dress again for a winter event. I received compliments all night.

i got SO many compliments on this dress! i felt so pretty and loved it for a very formal event. it fits true to size... i'm 5'2, so i was able to order the 4P and still wear 3 inch heels. just a note - the dress does hug the body and i'm in between sizes currently so i ordered a 6P as well. when i went to try on the 6P that came with my order, it was NOT a 6P even though it was labeled as such. it was WAY shorter than the 4P and wouldn't even zip up. thankfuly the 4P fit but i would have been out of luck if i needed a size up.

great conservative dress for Naval Ball

I wore this dress to MY Naval Ball (no not my boyfriend's,) and was very please with how it looked. I felt so glamours and elegant and got tons of compliments from everyone, even my very critical fellow midshipmen thought I looked really glamours. I got the 2L and 4L and ended up with the 4L because of my broad shoulders. IT IS SHORT. I am 6'0" and the long was barely touching the ground, i was wearing flats so it wasn't a big deal, I would have gotten the XL but they only have it in 6XL and up which would've been way to big, so that was slightly disappointing. But the dress itself is beautiful, it looks & feels very expensive. Its very flattering and hugged all my curves. It was really beautiful.

The extra dress ordering is fantastic. I wear an 8 or 10, depending upon styling. The 8 fit but was a bit snug in the chest area. The 10R was perfect and fell right at the top of my shoes just like I like a long dress to appear. It was very comfortable and being able to wear a normal bra was perfect.

A little disappointed...

I had very high hopes for this dress. I had to got to a military formal with my husband. I have a lot of tattoes & the event was in February so I wanted something long with long sleeves so i thought this dress would be it for me. One good thing about this dress is that it does show off your curves. Now for why I was disappointed. 1) It's a bit snug. Majority of the time I wear a size 2. I was forced to have PERFECT posture in this dress. 2) It's short! If a dress is catagorized as floor length, it needs to be just that. I'm 5'3 & a half the 2R was floating above my ankles! Good thing I ordered a 2L! Even the 2L was too short for me. I had to wear 2 inch heels, which I hate, & you could still see all of my shoes! Before I ordered it, I chatted with a stylist & asked her opinion if I should get a regular or long. she recommended that I get the regular. Good thing I didnt listen to her! If you want the dress to be an actual floor length & you are taller than 5'4, I strongly recommend getting the XL.3) The stitching was a bit awkward. It was very itchy around the neck. 4) I didn't like the hem at the bottom. It looked almost cheap. I didn't have a choice but to wear it since you don't get it till the day before the event. All in all, it was ok. Not completely satisfied. Not sure if I will order from RTR again.

Being as tiny as I am I always have a hard time finding a dress. I tried on at least 15 different dresses in various department stores before I decided to rent for the first time. Needless to say I was nervous the dress wouldn't fit. I requested both the 0R & 0P. The Regular fit perfectly. I ordered the 8L also and it actually fit best but ran tight across the bust so I opted for the larger size. I also rented the Entrancing Emerald Earrings and Citrine by the Stones Honey Cuff to wear with it. Both looked great! But ended up with only the earrings. Also if you are 5'8" or taller definately order the long!

You can wear a normal bra and shapewear without the risk of the lines being seen. You will need someone to help you with the zipper. I wore 4" Stuart Weitzman shoes with the dress, Highly recommend. When the dress arrived and I tried it on, I was a little nervous. I thought that it would have been a little longer than it actually was and I wasn't sure about the draping, but I loved how it hugged in all the right places, but also camouflaged what I wanted hidden. On the night of my event I put the dress on once I did my hair and everything, let me say I FELT LIKE A MILLION BUCKS! For my best friend's fancy black-tie wedding, the only bridesmaid requirement was to wear a floor-length black dress. I knew that all of my fellow bmaids were going to go the slinky route, and I wanted something different-- long sleeves and no cleavage seemed like a good way to go. When the dress arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was, and the draping around the hips gave it some spice as opposed to just being a plain column dress. I thought this was a "modest" dress, but it's body-con fit, and slit up-to-there made it sexy in a less-is-more kind of way. I was complimented all night long, and really-- after this weekend I have decided that I am never buying a dress again when I can have the luxury of "RTR"ing for every event. Was so happy with my pick, would love to wear it again... but know I'll prob pick a completely different dress next time. :) My only gripe was something that nobody else except me would probably even notice, but I'm tall and thin, and the Extra Long version of this dress was not made in my size. With heels on, I felt like the dress could have used an extra inch or two.

The fabric had a heavy feel to it which is perfect for this style of a dress. The dress fit right in all the right places. I would highly recommend this dress for any special occasion. I wore this gown for a military ball that I attended with my officer husband. I wanted to be classy and sophisticated to represent him, yet also trendy. I think this dress truly accomplished that exact vision. The overall fit was accurate with my size, including the length. The material around the hips was more excessive than noticed in the photo. At first I was unsure about that, but upon wearing the dress for the event, I hardly noticed it at all and it photographs very nicely. The ball was in Vegas and this is hardly a Vegas clubbing dress... but I wore the dress out to the clubs and still received compliments from non-military ball attendees at those clubs. I would highly recommend this dress for the exact vision I mentioned above, and I wish I owned this dress because it can be worn to many different events.

I had originally ordered a 4R, because my ideal size, the 4L, was not available. Fortunately, I decided to check the availability again after already having ordered the 4R. I saw that a 4L was available and thanks to the incredible customer service, I was able to procure it! The fit was perfect. I wore 5" heels and the dress got in my way when I walked, but after 6 hours wearing it I was a pro by the end of the night! The drapery was beautiful. The simplicity of the dress let me stand out against all the other women in attendance. I would definitely rent this dress again. It was like wearing pajamas! Wish I had better pictures to explain how amazing thus dress is. It wasn't what I expected when I first opened the package because it is a mid weight rayon jersey, but on it hugs in all the right places and is super flattering. For those who complained about the fabric not laying in the right place, I feel they may have not had hips to pull this off. Slit doesn't really allow you to wear spanx, but I just rolled the leg of mine up a little. Super glamorous and received compliments all night at the wedding. This is a must rent for any formal affair this winter.

This dress was probably my favorite dress I have ever worn! The material was on the heavy side, so it didn't feel clingy. The long sleeves were perfect for my October event. I felt that it was extremely appropriate for my formal event which was the 25th annual Gala for Golisano Children's Hospital. I got so many compliments on the dress!

Such a great dress. I wore this to a black tie event, and felt so confident in this as I walked the room. I love the bit of leg that peaked out. I am 5'8"/5'9" and got the long with about 3 inch heels. The gown hit the floor exactly, but I probably could have gotten the regular length gown and just worn lower heels. I also loved the statement earrings I wore with this (Dannijo Cecile Earrings). They were perfect for this.

RTR does it again! Loved this dress, received compliments all night long! It fit perfectly, I was a little worried about how the draping around the hips would look, but it did not add too much there. I have a little junk in the trunk (not a whole lot, but enough that I have to be careful the type of dresses I get), but it still fit and laid perfectly. I'm small up top, but was still able to accentuate what I have. Fit nicely through the waste. Didn't need spanks for smoothing, the lining was really good. I have on platform shoes and it just hit the floor with those, I'm 5'6", with shorter heals I would have been tripping all over myself. Overall, definite winner, classic Badgley Mischka.
