This dress was great, the color was gorgeous and I received a ton of compliments. I was a little panicked because the lining was a little snug around my hips, even though the dress looks very loose. I usually wear an 8 but the top was a little too big, even though I'm not flat chested. I ended up wearing the 6 because the top stayed in place better. Had to make sure the lining wasn't riding up all night though. Even with those few problems it was a huge success.

It fit true to size - but I went a size down for the bust fit. Everything fit the same in a 0 or 2 except the snugger bust fit and a little tighter butt fit. This dress definitely makes you one of the sexiest people at the wedding.

Beautiful fabric, I got the complete wrong size. Since it was a strapless, I couldn't even keep it on and was unable to wear it.

LOVED this gown and it would have been perfect with my Manolos for my friend's wedding, but alas, it did not fit. The problem: though the outer skirt was a floaty A-line (very forgiving for those of us with curvy hips and booties), the UNDER skirt was a straight, stretch-less sheath. In A-line skirts, I can wear an 10 or 12, but with sheaths, I usually need a 14 or higher. This drives me crazy when I order online; if there is a shape difference between the outer and inner skirts, it needs to be noted in the description. I had to return it. It was a shame too - SO pretty! I would give the look of the dress 5 stars, but the description 0 stars... so I've settled on 3 stars.

I love the color of this dress. It did run a bit big in the bust-I'm a 36C and had to use double strip tape. Great for dancing and I got lots of compliments.

I am 5'6 and weigh 130 pounds and have an hourglass figure. I went back and forth between the 2 and 4 on this dress, but settled on the 2 because I was afraid my boobs would fall out of the 4. However, the dress is gorgeous and extremely flattering!

The 4 fit fine - my regular size, but I must tell everyone that this dress seems much shorter on you than on the model. I was planning to wear it to a wedding and my boyfriend and I agreed I looked like I was wearing a nightie (since it is strapless as well). I felt totally naked and looked pretty sleazy.

The dress I received was very worn. It was snagged around the armpit and bust area, the supports were very bent and didn't stay in the right spot, there were a significant amount of sequins missing from back of the dress, and the hook for the zipper was broken. I agree with everyone else that the bust area runs a bit large, but thats not much of a problem with the right bra. Also, for me, the dress was a bit tight around the thighs.

The boning in the bust is extremely uncomfortable - a strapless bra is a must. It also does run large and the swish of fabric in front is sort of odd and the overall look is a bit frumpy/not figure flattering... i was disappointed - definitely order one size down.

As the other review mentioned, this dress runs large. I typically wear a size 2 and wore the zero. I think the dress was very pretty and I got a lot of compliments. The reason I did not give it five stars is because one side kept turning inside out on the bust section and I was constantly fixing it throughout the night. Would recomment using double sided tape, I just did not have any unfortunately.

This dress does run large. I was pulling it up all night and the boning was uncomfortable. But it was very pretty for a winter wedding.

Wore this to a wedding and got lots of compliments. Runs true to size on the bottom but large on the top. I am 32DD and I felt like the top sagged a little. Double sided tape did little to remedy this. Overall, I loved it.

Runs EXTREMELY large, but as long as you order about two sizes down, it looks great! Absolutely beautiful dress. Material does not look cheap and the color really pops in pictures! Would highly recommend getting two sizes and making sure the top part fits well too (it's a little big). I'm 5'4" and 120 and wore the 0 comfortably!

I wore this dress to a christmas party at a yacht club. I normally wear a size 10 (I am 5' 10" tall), but, previous review said the dress ran big (especially in the bodis). I was able to rent a size 8&10. The size 8 fit perfectly. I had so many compliments on how good it looked. I have already recommended this to my friends and co-workers. Thank you Renttherunway.

Loved this dress! The color is pretty true to the website and looked great with my skin. I don't think it was the best choice for a fall wedding, but I still got tons of compliments (even from the bride!). My only complaint is that there's some kind of almost underwire-like boning material in the bust that would stick through the material and make contact with my skin. A definite ouch at times but this dress is so worth it.

I did not like this dress and ended up not wearing it. The boning was incredibly painful and I knew that I would not be able to bear it all night. Also, a slip underneath the dress is necessary.

- Pretty dress (received lots of compliments at a black tie event!) but runs large at the bust. I followed the size chart and ordered 8 & 10. Size 6 would have been better. Make sure you call customer service for suggestions and read all the reviews first. - Color as pictured. - The boning may hurt your skin.

I'm a pretty solid size 12 with a 36D bust, but both the size 10 AND the size 12 ran loose through the bust. (The hips ran normal-sized.) Also, the dress doesn't provide much support for the bust area, so I ended up having to wear my thickest, most padded push-up bra with straps and then a little cropped jacket. The material is thinner than you might expect, so I also had to wear a slip to keep from treating everyone to an outline of my thighs. All that aside though, the dress was LOVELY and I got a billion compliments on it. The color is very true to the picture, and the draping is flattering and so lovely. Loved it. My entire rental experience was so easy and wonderful, everything was packaged beautifully when it arrived, and I loved all the little goodies RTR includes. I can't wait to rent again!!!

Like everyone said, this dress did run a bit large, but was the perfect dress for the California wedding I wore it to. I threw on a black lace blazer over the dress during the church ceremony and wore the dress alone to the cocktail hour and reception, and got tons of compliments. While it was a well-fitting and durable dress, I was scared that I would snag or rip the delicate fabric throughout the night, hence the 4 stars. But all in all a great wear!

the dress was beautiful. Little wrinkled but nothing bad. However, the boning was very uncomfortable so you need to try to wear something like a tube top on your mid section.

I typically wear a 2-4 and I wore a 0 in this dress and needed no tape or padding to make it fit well. I LOVED this dress and received many compliments. The fabric falls well and I never pulled it up once. I would have preferred no creases in the fabric upon receiving it, so I plan to figure out a way to address that for my next dress.

As the other reviewers mentioned, this dress runs a bit large in the bust. I typically wear a size 0, and this 0 still fit comfortably and did not feel like it was falling down. The fit was flattering and I received many compliments. I wore it to a wedding and it was definitely a more exciting dress than all of the other plain black dresses.

Terrible. This dress ran so big that a 0 didn't even fit. The built-in support/bones were bent out of shape and were way to large for my flat chest. Even with a padded bra the dress would slip and shift. I didn't end up wearing it because of the terrible fit.

This dress was fabulous! The dress itself was easy and comfortable to wear. It does run true to size but I would recommend getting a backup just because this dress was large in the bust. Overall I would recommend it anyone, lots of compliments!

I absolutely loved wearing this dress! I ordered it for my birthday and it made feel like a movie star. I'm 5'8, 150 lbs, 36C and I usually wear a size 8, but I had read reviews that it runs large so I ordered a size 6 for my second size and I ended up wearing the 6. The purple color is even more beautiful in person. I also ordered the earrings (Pearl Swept Away Earrings, Cara Accessories) the model is wearing in the pic and they were a great match.

Loved it! I wore this to my friend's prom and I couldn't even count how many compliments I got! It love the length because its a shorter dress that still keeps it classy. Great Job badgley mischka!

I was not a fan. Very cute in the picture but once I put it on it looked a bit messy. I think if you're petite it would be really cute.

This was a great dress for my work party. The bust ran a bit big but I wore a strapless bra and 2x sided tape and was comfortable in the light fabric.

Totally agree w/ others that this runs a bit big in the bust, but overall a super pretty, fun party dress. The draping in front is very flattering!

This might just be the perfect dress for a wedding. Really lovely and feminine. Runs a bit large. There was extra room in the bust, which I fixed with a padded bustier and some double-stick tape.

I wore this dress to a black-tie wedding in NYC, and I absolutely LOVED it! I received tons of compliments and felt very confident and "pretty" wearing it. I will say that I typically wear a size 6, and needed a size 4 in this dress...so in my opinion it runs just a tad bit large. Also, I felt that the bottom (skirt part) kept twisting a bit so the seams didn't fall where they were supposed to (which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars). But overall, I had a fabulous experience and would highly recommend it.
