I rented this dress for a work-related cocktail party in Vegas. It is a beautiful shade of amethyst and I was actually stopped by several strangers to compliment the dress! I felt beautiful and comfortable and thought the dress was fashion-forward and stunning without being overtly sexy.
This dress runs big, especially if you have a tiny chest. The stylist recommended I rent my normal size and then one size down...only problem is that my "normal size" is either a 4 or 6...I *always* have to try everything on for fit. I ended up renting the 4 and 6, going against my first instinct which was to rent the 4 and the 2 because I am tiny around the chest and strapless dresses are usually big on me. Lucky the fit kit had double stick tape...I really needed it or the top would have been at my waist all night. The smallest size would have been the most comfortable as I needed it tighter around my chest, and the rest of the dress had plenty of room (plus it was stretchy jersey), which would have easily fit my fuller hips. For those with a smaller chest thinking of renting this, seriously go to the smallest size you normally fit in and select your back-up as the size down from that and then make sure you have plenty of double stick tape (I am a 32C with 26" waist and 37" hips. My measurement at my chest above the bust is 32").
