Tuesday Tip: Fine Lines
Tue, 2011-11-08 12:45 | by AnonymousNot your typical cat-eye, the graphic eye-liner trend is being seen all over the runway, and we can’t get enough of it! It may seem a bit intimidating at first to switch up your eyeliner routine, but we’re loving the double lines the models wore at the Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 show. Sultry and sleek, these models had the cool-girl flare we all want to achieve – and great news, with our Lancome liner you can too!
Your best friend to achieve this look is our Lancome ArtLiner Eyeliner in black. What's amazing about this eyeliner is how superfine the tip is and easy to control. Now here's the fun part, take your favorite smokey eyeshadow and add another layer under your brow bone leaving space between your winged line for an instant update!
Next, add a dab of our Juicy Tubes Lipgloss in Hallucination to your lips to give the perfect neutral sheen you need without competing with your killer revamped cat-eye.
To complete this smoldering look, swipe a few coats of our volumizing Hypnose Mascara in Excessive Black and embrace your inner rockstar by pairing it with our Herve Leger Stop and Stare dress and we guarantee people will stop and stare at you at your next event!
Tuesday Tip: Classic Red Lip
Tue, 2011-11-01 11:13 | by AnonymousWhether in fashion or beauty, the color red will always make a statement and has definitely made its presence known all over the fall runways. Whether going to a black-tie affair or girls night out, a red lip never fails to amaze and is one of our all-time favorite accessories.
We our obsessed with Lancome’s Color Design Lipcolor Matte in Red Haute because it looks fabulous on a multitude of complexions. This classic red will be sure to amp up any LBD or add the finishing touch to that sequin dress for your calendar full of holiday parties. We love that the formula is long-wearing and transfer-proof, so you won't have to worry about constant touch-ups – a total win!
To make sure the color pops, be sure to pair it with a nude lip pencil and even blot a bit of your foundation on to have the perfect neutral canvas to work with. You will be blown away by the staying power of this lipstick, we can’t get over it! For the rest of your look, simple is best. Use Lancome's Artliner Eyeliner in Black to create a winged cat-eye and a few strokes of Hypnôse Custom Volume Mascara in Excessive Black to compliment your red lip beautifully!
Tuesday Tip: Holiday Events
Tue, 2011-10-25 15:14 | by AnonymousWe all have a plethora of events this holiday season, so why not check one thing off that long to-do list and plan your party attire!
Spice it up for a dinner party with friends or family with this stunning Tibi dress. The red pattern and full skirt will have you feeling confident and in the holiday spirit. Pair with classic earrings and a bold cuff to round out your holiday chic ensemble.
For casual cocktails with friends, mix and match holiday colors for a standout effect. We love this one shouldered Milly dress paired with Dannijo jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch.
For your annual office holiday party, keep your main ensemble neutral and opt for a pop of color from your accessories. This sophisticated Christian Cota frock will have you feeling confident and fashion forward. Mix with Dannijo earrings and a purple snakeskin DVF clutch to complete the look.
For that formal affair that you've had on the calendar for a while, go for classic chic. In this David Meister gown you'll be the best dressed in room. Glam it up with a sparkly bangle and sleek Judith Leiber clutch.
Tuesday Tip: Getting the Retro Look
Tue, 2011-10-04 16:14 | by AnonymousConservative is making a comeback, and with Mad Men and Pan Am on our minds (and DVR's) we can't help but want to glam it up like Betty Draper or jetsetting Colette.
Nina Ricci and Moschino are the experts in timeless sophistication, and these retrospective looks will exude the perfect amount of class and refined elegance. Pair with a simple updo or loose waves and you're good to go. We've been seeing these conservative hemlines all over the runway and love these looks for any formal event or cocktail party this Fall. They also work well for Fall and Winter weddings.
These festive frocks from Opening Ceremony, Nina Ricci, and Peter Soronen are a perfect way to go retro for a less formal event. Be the best dressed in the room at any birthday party, shower, or date. Pair with some fun jewelry and a statement clutch to glam up the complete look.
Formal Event Attire
Wed, 2011-09-28 14:25 | by AnonymousA few of us attended the Young Patrons of Lincoln Center "Party on the Plaza" event on Monday night and had an absolutely fabulous time. The dress code was black tie, and got us thinking about appropriate attire for a Formal or Charity Event. Check out some of our picks and advice below!

When in doubt, go conservative.
When trying to decide what to wear to a formal or charity event, whether black tie or cocktail attire, it’s best to err on the conservative side. You can still make a statement in a gorgeous gown or frock, but sticking to less revealing necklines and cuts is best. If your hemline is short, go for more coverage on top and if your dress is floor length you have some liberty to try out a fun, interesting neckline. Here are some of our favorite gowns and cocktail dresses that are perfect for any formal event.
Accessorize intelligently.
When choosing how to accessorize your dress, we recommend sporting jewelry that complements, not overwhelms, the outfit. Go for simple earrings and a single strand of pearls if your dress is on the loud side, and feel free to go for more of a statement if your dress is simple. Here are some of our favorite pieces that work with a variety of dress styles.
Makeup and Hair: KIS (keep it simple).
This isn’t pageant world, and a “Snooki poof” isn’t necessarily an appropriate updo. Go for a blowout and get your makeup done if possible. If that’s not available, blow dry your hair straight and pull some of the front back with a chic barrette, or pull all of your hair back into a simple ballerina bun. Keep your makeup understated but a red or pink lip is always a great pop of color. Here are some of our favorite Lancome products.
Tuesday Tip: Lace for Fall
Tue, 2011-09-13 17:12 | by AnonymousLace is typically thought of as a super sexy, nighttime fabric that is not so versitile. This season, we are seeing lace used much more liberally and with edgy pieces. Pair a lacy dress with some chunky jewelry and a cropped jacket for day, or with sky high heels and a statement necklace for night. Rent any of our pairings below for an edgy, sexy outfit perfect for a party or girls night out this fall!
Tuesday Tip: Pairing Pink + Red
Tue, 2011-09-06 17:28 | by AnonymousClashing colors and prints is one of the biggest trends of the season and pairing pink and red is one of our favorites. This may seem like a fashion no-no, but after seeing it on the runways and multiple cover stars we officially give the go ahead. Pair hot, bold pinks with saturated reds to get the desired effect. We put together some simple ways below to emulate the trend this fall.
