Tuesday Tip: SAG Awards Style
Tue, 2012-01-31 17:41 | by AnonymousWe've seen quite the evolution of the braid from side-styled Blake Lively to Lauren Conrad's classic french braid. Now this hairdo has become even more boho chic and made quite the impact on the red carpet at this year's SAG Awards.
Is the braid the new headwrap? Glee's Dianna Agron looked effortlessly glamorous with a twist on the classic braid. According to her hairstylist (thanks BellaSugar!) he dried Dianna's hair using a texturizing spray then created a fishtail braid starting at the left side of the ear. After that, he wrapped it around the head like a crown to bring attention to the front.
Sounds easy enough! This look is great for you ladies that have layers or bangs and want them away from your face. There is no need to set with hairspray because you want this look to seem as natural as possibly. Wispy strands are encouraged to be left out!
Pair with our Dannijo Ajak earrings for the perfect finishing touch to make this look all your own! Where will you wear it?

Gossip Girl Style: Blair's Bridesmaids
Mon, 2012-01-30 18:00 | by AnonymousTonight Gossip Girl episode is a milestone in two respects: Blair's wedding and it's the show's 100th episode! It's hard to imagine what our Monday nights would be without the escapades of Manhattan's elite.
When we caught this picture of Blair's bridesmaids, we couldn't help but love the color palatte. Blush and neutral tones are everywhere right now and it seems like the people at GG are loving the trend. To get this soft, feminine look and channel Blair's entourage, rent Milly's Almond Rosette dress for your next date night, cocktail party, or event. It would also be a perfect pick for Valentine's Day (whether you're single or taken!).
SAG Awards Red Carpet
Mon, 2012-01-30 15:52 | by AnonymousThe stars came out last night for the SAG Awards in Los Angeles and we were delighted to see some risk takers on the red carpet. From tea lengths to cutouts, there was no shortage of fun, fashion forward styles and the usual suspects made our best dressed list this time around.
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are officially the "It Couple" of the moment and for good reason. They look so genuinely happy and not to mention they make a very pretty pair. Emily donned a mint green Oscar de la Renta gown for the awards show last night and they color is perfect on her. Stick with this trend and freshen things up with this spearmint Carlos Miele gown for your next event.
Emma Stone is on a record setting trajectory towards becoming a fashion icon and she hasn't made a wrong turn yet. This tea length, full skirted Alexander McQueen dress looks like it was made for her and the ankle strap heels are pretty much everything. To get her look for a less formal event, try this figure-flattering, full-skirted frock from See by Chloe.
Jessica Chastain is killing it in a Calvin Klein Collection cobalt gown that complements her amber locks almost too perfectly. Get her look with a beautifully cut Narciso Rodriguez gown that will have you standing out in a sea of black.
Kudos to Kyra Sedgwick for pulling off a bold color and cutouts! The film and television star worked the carpet with hubby Kevin Bacon by her side. To get Kyra's look, go with this daring Narciso Rodriguez gown for your next formal event or wedding.
Viola Davis was positively glowing in this white hot strapless gown and we have to mention her stellar makeup too. She won best actress for her role in The Help and we couldn't have been more excited to see her accept the award. The white hot gown was refreshing to see after so many pastels and neutrals. We love the gold/silver and white combo; try this Calvin Klein Collection number for your next date, girl's night out, or birthday party!
Style Awards: Blue Crush
Fri, 2012-01-27 18:06 | by AnonymousCongrats to this week's Style Awards winner, Rosa! She looks absolutely stunning in the Laila Azhar Sparkling Asymmetric Draped Dress. We love how she paired with a muted neutral, cuff, and simple black heels. We are totally crushing on this pop of color blue hue!

Friday Fashion Fun: Prabal Gurung for Sephora, The Fashion Fund, and more!
Fri, 2012-01-27 17:29 | by Anonymous
Prabal Gurung's Sephora Uniforms
Bella Sugar posted a video of Prabal Gurung previewing his newly designed uniforms for Sephora, and they are anything but dull! We love the red accents and the cut is perfectly funtional and fashion forward. We can't wait to see these in action at Sephora! [Bella Sugar]

CFDA/Vogue's The Fashion Fund
The first episode of this six-part web series debuted on Hulu last night and we're excited to add it to our weekly must-watch list. The documentary goes behind the scenes of the most recent CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition and we love seeing the likes of Anna Wintour, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jenna Lyons, Andrew Rosen, and more in their element. [On the Runway]
Prada's "24 hr Museum"
Following the recently ubiquitous "pop-up" store trend, Prada opened a 24 hour museum in the Palais d'lena. It all seems very mysterious and futuristic; we love Fashionista's recap of the exhibit. [Fashionista]

Dressing for your Body Type
Fri, 2012-01-27 10:12 | by AnonymousUnderstanding your body type is the first step towards choosing the perfect dress and enhancing your frame’s best assets. The ultimate goal: to create vertical lines that are slimming and flattering, and to give the illusion of a balanced figure for all. Of course, our expert stylists are still here to answer all of your fit questions and to help make your experience with RTR flawless and fabulous (read on to hear from stylists of each body type).

Thursday Obsession: Fashionista
Thu, 2012-01-26 15:29 | by Anonymous
As a loyal reader from back in the day, it's incredible to think that Fashionista is only 5 years old and celebrating their big birthday this month. Before that, DIY fashion projects were no where to be found, and street style was something you saw outside, not online. Thank you to Faran + Fashionista for this look back on fashion history and for 5 years of documenting the industry news in all its' fashionable glory. Happy Birthday!
p.s. We'd cry if we received Marc Jacobs tickets too.
Style Spotlight: Elizabeth Olsen
Wed, 2012-01-25 15:30 | by AnonymousElizabeth Olsen has a lot going for her: two famous, fabulous sisters, a fashion line named after her (our newest designer addition, Elizabeth and James!), a budding film career, and the attention of fashion's finest! It seems that things are only looking up for the young actress. She made her film debut in Martha Marcy May Marlene and received high critical acclaim from her peers. We can't wait to see what she does next!
Elizabeth is a fan of Proenza Schouler and we love how she looks in this piece from their Spring '12 collection. To work these perfect prints try the line's Wild Wild West dress that is a showstopper for any occasion.
Spring forward like Elizabeth in a pop of color yellow frock. We love this shift by Sonia Rykiel for a bridal shower or cocktail party.
Feminine florals are a perfect transition to Spring, and we love Elizabeth in this vibrant, berry colored dress. Wear this See by Chloe dress for an eye-catching ensemble that will be one to remember.
Meet Lucy Sykes: Our New Fashion Director!
Tue, 2012-01-24 20:55 | by AnonymousWe are thrilled and pleased to welcome Lucy Sykes Rellie full time to the Rent the Runway team! Lucy has been consulting on a number of styling projects since July and we couldn't be more excited for her to bring her expertise to RTR in a bigger capacity.

Prior to joining Rent the Runway Lucy was most notably the Fashion Director at Marie Claire magazine from 2001 to 2007, while simultaneously launching her own children’s clothing line in 2005. The collection, appropriately named Lucy Sykes New York, was carried by key retailers including Saks, Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstrom (among others). Lucy also spent time as a contributing fashion editor at Cookie magazine, and as a stylist on staff at Allure and Town & Country. Additionally, Lucy has appeared regularly as a fashion commentator on The Today Show, CNN, CNBC and Full Frontal Fashion.
Here are some of Lucy's favorite picks from our new arrivals, and stay tuned for more fashion fun!
Tuesday Tip: Pink Pout Perfection
Tue, 2012-01-24 12:14 | by AnonymousWhen in doubt, add a pop of color (or POC, as Brad Goreski would say) to your pout! Find an outlet of fun with our all-time favorite accessory for the face...a statement lip!
Reds and nudes are our go-to's but lately this on-trend fuschia is our most-wanted color. When doing a statement lip, it is important to make sure it's the focal point of your makeup. There is no need to add a smokey eye, loads of liner, bold blush and a lipstick. We want to achieve a fresh face. Remember, less is more: the makeup motto! What's also great about this trend is that it can instantly update a simple LBD. Take notes from celebrity beauties Diane Kruger and Emma Stone; they rock this pink pout to perfection!
To get the look, we adore our Lancome Color Design Lipcolor in Wannabe (also the name of a Spice Girl classic!) for a no-fuss lip that will look beautiful from day to night. How will you wear it?

2 Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year officially begins today! It is the year of the dragon, the only mythical creature in the zodiac. Traditional celebrations of the Chinese New Year inlcude a big feast and fireworks.

3 Code for America
Jonathan attended an inspiring event last week for a group called Code for America. They take the Teach for America model and apply it to creating innovative software and applications to help city governments around the country. 2011 was their first year, in which they partnered with three cities and built dozens of useful apps. We love how they are bringing cutting-edge technology to city governments and creating a sense of civic duty among the tech community.
4 Beechers
For the best grilled cheese, tomato soup, and mac n cheese in town, head to Beechers in Flatiron. A cheese factory, retail store, cafe, and bar all in one, this hot spot is not one to skip. NYC boasts the only other location than their flagship in Seattle!
5 Hot Toddies
Best way to warm up on the first snowy afternoon of the year? Hot toddies at Mother's Ruin mixed up by adorable British bartender Mark. Don't want to venture out in the cold? You can make your own quite easily:
1 oz (2 tablespoons) bourbon
1 tablespoon mild honey
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup boiling-hot water
Put bourbon, honey, and lemon juice in a 6-ounce mug. Top off with hot water and stir until honey is dissolved.

6 Superbowl XLVI
After yesterday's playoff games, it's set! The Giants and Patriots will meet again after the wildcard Giants kept the Patriots from an undefeated season in 2007. We're a house divided here at RTR, but who will you root for?
7 Edun's Scarves
AJ loves Edun's scarves which are not only incredibly cozy but the brand (founded by Bono) is aimed at developing trade with Africa and encouraging others to do the same. By 2013 their mission is to produce 40% of their collection in Africa.
8 Vermont
Katie spent the weekend in Vermont and although she missed the first snow in NYC, there was certainly no shortage in Stowe.
9 Clothing Swap for A Cause
We love Flying Kites' 2nd Annual Clothing Swap for a cause. Tickets are only $20, and you can bring 5 or more gently, or never worn, quality items to swap with others. All proceeds benefit orphaned children in Kenya. You can still buy tickets (which include snacks and libations) for the event this Thursday in Greenpoint!
10 Creative Cupcakes
Our resident graphic designer/photographer/extreme baker Mikkel made these gorgeous cupcakes for a bridal shower over the weekend. They are red velvet with cream cheese frosting and vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream. Yum!

Style Awards: Sizzling Sensation
Fri, 2012-01-20 16:20 | by AnonymousCongratulations to this week's Style Awards winner, Kristen! She wore the Halston Heritage Sizzling Red Dress to a Christmas Wedding. We love how she accessorized with earrings and a few bangles, and her curls and makeup are the perfect complement to a holiday ensemble.
Friday Fashion Fun: Christian Siriano Wedding, Miss Piggy on Project Runway, and more!
Fri, 2012-01-20 13:47 | by Anonymous
Christian Siriano Wedding Collection
Christian Siriano is designing a collection of wedding dresses to be available exclusively at Nordstrom. This is the first of the gowns, and we adore the tiered ruffles and pleating around the bodice. The Project Runway alum's first shot at bridal looks like a success so far! [Glamour]

Miss Piggy on Project Runway
The muppet darling was a guest judge on Project Runway last night and we love the spunk that she brought to the panel. The Paris Vogue veteran was dressed to impress and gave those aspiring designers a taste of her mind. [Racked]

Rachel Roy on Risks
Rachel Roy is a guest blogger for Stylelist and we loved her latest entry so much we had to share it with you. The designer writes about how taking risks is so important in every aspect of life, and why you should not be afraid to fail. In her words, "failure is merely the step before success." Read more on Stylelist.

Introducing: Elizabeth and James
Fri, 2012-01-20 13:33 | by AnonymousWe are thrilled to announce that Elizabeth and James is now available on Rent The Runway! The line is co-designed by one of our favorite fashion pairs, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and embodies an eclectic lifestyle by blending uptown and downtown elements with casual and traditional styles. Join stars Cameron Diaz, Blake Lively, Emma Roberts, and Heidi Klum as fans and wearers of the brand!
Thursday Obsession: Smash
Thu, 2012-01-19 17:33 | by AnonymousWe've been hearing so much buzz about NBC's newest soon-to-be prime-time hero that we had to get in on the action. After hearing from our friends at New York Mag that the pilot was available for free download from iTunes, we decided to see what this "Glee for grownups" business was all about. The verdict? We're hooked! The pilot combines perfect parts drama, star power, romance, comedy, and well-conceived musical numbers for what we're sure will be a smash hit (excuse the pun). Not to mention that Debra Messing and Angelica Huston star and Steven Spielberg produces. Check it out!

Style Spotlight: Kate Beckinsale
Wed, 2012-01-18 12:23 | by AnonymousKate Beckinsale is already having a stellar 2012 with 3 movies on the horizon and it seems that her career is only getting better with time. Always a class act, we love Kate's feminine, tailored style. See some of her best looks below and get them on RTR!
Kate looks ladylike and sophisticated wearing the Nina Ricci Pink Clouds dress. The belted waist gives her figure a nice silhouette and we love the color on her.
Update your nighttime look by going sleek and sexy like Kate in a long sleeve white sheath. This elegant Rachel Roy White Tex Dress does just the trick.
Kate shows off her feminine and flirty side in this cotton candy colored shift. This style easily transitions from day to night and you can't go wrong with Nicole Miller.
Tuesday Tip: Add Some Sunshine
Tue, 2012-01-17 17:43 | by AnonymousWe can't stop going on and on about how chic our favorite celebrities looked at the Golden Globes and a wildcard favorite was the always stunning, Paula Patton. Paula totally wowed us in canary yellow wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 gown. The bright color was unexpected amongst a sea of nude (which we loved) and dark hues. Since most of us are experiencing some dark and dreary days in the city, this citrus color can we the sunshine we've been missing!
We have a wide selection of dresses in this vibrant yellow that will give you a similar look. Two of our must-have styles are the Thakoon Yellow Silk Draped Dress (that Katie Holmes wore in purple!) and the Elie Tahari Fresca Satin Dream Dress.
We love to accessorize this bold hue with statement metallic earrings. Try our Elizabeth Cole Burst and Chain Earrings or Dannijo's Cecile Earrings to bring red carpet glamour to reality!
With this fun look, you'll be ready to spring forward for your next event. Where will you wear it?
Golden Globes Beauty
Tue, 2012-01-17 14:59 | by AnonymousMany of the red carpet regulars stunned in the fashion department this year at the Golden Globes, but few brought their beauty a-game. Two looks that we can't get enough of are Reese Witherspoon's bronzed blonde bombshell and Emma Stone's soft silver style.
To get Reese's sun kissed look, start off with Lancome's Star Bronzer All Over Magic Brush. Apply to your face in one motion by starting at the forehead, moving down the side and into the cheekbone, then down under the chin (it should feel like you're making the number 3 with the brush). Then, tap the brush lightly in the center of your forehead, nose, and chin. This will apply the bronzed powder where to where the sun naturally hits your face.
Next, use Lancome's Color Design 5 Shadow and Liner Palette to get a soft, contoured look for your eyes. The palette conveniently comes with directions on where to precisely apply each shadow and liner to achieve the desired effect. Use the lightest of the center shadows as the base, then the darker shadows for all over and the crease. Use the bottom liner to get a soft, smokey effect that will blend with your bronzed look perfectly.
Finally, apply 2-3 coats of Lancome's Definicils High Definition Mascara to top off your bronzed blonde bombshell look!
If you're more fair skinned and want to highlight your naturally radiant complexion, go for a silver smokey eye and pale pink blush and lips. Start with your eyes first by applying Lancome's Color Design Eye Shadow in All That Glitters all over your lid (after primer, of course). Then, use a darker shadow for the crease and move slightly up into the brow bone to extend your eyes so they have an almond shape. Then, use a thin, wet eyeliner brush to apply the silver shadow directly beneath your lower lashes. You can also use your finger to dab the silver shadow on your brow bone and the inner part of your eyelids.
Now my favorite part. Use Lancome's Artliner Eyeliner (the best liquid eyeliner available, in my opinion) to line your upper and lower lashes, getting as close to the eye as possible. Make sure the line is thicker at the outside part of each eye.
To finish, apply Lancome's Juicy Tube in Hallucination to your lips for the perfect finish to your soft silver look.

4 National Retail Federation SUper SEssion

6 Homeland
Homeland has been catching on rapidly at RTR and we were thrilled to see so many wins for the show last night at the Golden Globes. Jenn bought Showtime just to watch the series and managed to complete it in a mere 4 days. Bring it on - Claire Danes and a smarter 24!

7 Buenos Aires and Punta Del Este
Lauren spent the first week of 2012 in Buenos Aires and Punta Del Este with her family. The views were spectacular and she especially enjoyed the warm weather!

8 Giants beat the Packers
The post-season continues in NYC after an amazing take-down of the Green Bay Packers last night (on their home turf, to boot!). Go Blue!

9 Museum of Natural History
Mikkel loves the Museum of Natural History on Manhattan's Upper West Side. It's indoors so a perfect activity for these cold NYC days. Plus, whether you're 8 or 28 the dinasours are pretty amazing!
10 Integraton in Joshua Tree, CA
Chondita went to the Integraton in Joshua Tree, California, this weekend where magnetic energy ratings are off the charts apparently. She and some friends took a healing sound bath - an amazing way to kick off a girl's weekend in Palm Springs desert.
Get The Look: Golden Globes Red Carpet
Mon, 2012-01-16 13:24 | by AnonymousThe red carpet at last night's Golden Globes featured an array of expected and unexpected styles and trends. Below are some of our favorites from the night and you can get their celebrity looks on RTR!
Having just launched Reem Acra on our site, we were thrilled to see Julie Bowen rock the Florence Gown that we just got in! She looks so old Hollywood glam and her soft waves are the perfect complement to the delicate tulle gown.
Reese looked ravishing in this structured, curve hugging Zac Posen gown. The sweetheart neckline suits her well and her sun kissed skin and loose waves give off a perfect blonde bombshell effect. This Bibhu Mohapatra Gown would be perfect for any formal event this winter/spring!
Seriously, can Charlize do no wrong? She looked absolutely ethereal in this Dior Haute Couture gown. For a perfectly positioned deep-V, go with this Temperley London Rosette Charm Gown.
Natalie Portman went super feminine in this pink and red satin Lanvin gown. To emulate Natalie's tailored, sophisticated look with a pop of color go with this Badgley Mischka Lady of Love Gown.
Emma Stone for the win, again! We've been seeing burgundy and plum everywhere lately and Emma's look from last night confirms the colors are here to stay. We especially loved how the Lanvin dress was adorned with an eagle belt. To get Emma's look, work this Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Burgundy Bliss Gown at your next event.
It's safe to say that Rooney Mara stayed in character as Lisbeth Salander last night in this beautifully cut black Nina Ricci dress. To get her edgy, yet feminine look at a less formal event try the Nina Ricci Seductive Corset Lace Dress.
Glee star Amber Riley wore this ruffle red Badgley Mischka gown with confidence and grace. The sweetheart neckline flatters her figure perfectly and we love a lady in red!
Introducing: Narciso Rodriguez Capsule Collection
Fri, 2012-01-13 17:13 | by AnonymousWe are thrilled to introduce the capsule collection that Narciso Rodriguez has created for Rent The Runway! The designer has re-created four iconic dresses from his archive to be available for rent at RTR. The Cut Out Gown, available in crimson or cobalt, was inspired by a Narciso dress Jennifer Aniston wore on the cover of Vogue in 2008. The Tailor Made and Ivory Contrast dresses were influenced by a style once worn by Kate Winslet. These unique creations embody the American aesthetic and expert tailoring that Narciso is so well known for. Reserve yours for that special event today!

Rooney Mara has been seen all over the red carpet in funky, asymmetrical pieces mostly in darker hues like this Prabal Gurung number. We love the silhouette but see her mixing it up a bit with this ethereal piece by Roksanda Ilincic.
Charlize Theron consistently wears very feminine, figure flattering gowns to red carpet events. We adore this super glamorous canary yellow Christian Siriano gown and know that this would be a super flattering, show-stealing look on the actress.
Kate Winslet usually takes to the red carpet in bold colors and we'd love to see her stick to this trend. Kate should show of her statuesque figure and toned arms in this burnt orange Bibhu Mohapatra gown from his Fall 2011 collection.
Kirsten Dunst is back in action after an award worthy performance in Melancholia. We see her owning the red carpet in this gorgeous printed Yigal Azrouel dress from his Spring 2012 collection. Can you say best dressed?
Meryl Streep is always elegant with her gown choices on the red carpet. We would love to see her in something age appropriate yet a bit trendy like this two toned Yigal Azrouel gown.
Michelle Williams loves to wear simple yet exceptionally chic gowns on the red carpet. In this bold, body hugging Matthew Williamson gown Michelle is sure to snag the best dressed award! Plus, the color would look absolutely stunning with her hair and complexion.
Claire Danes has such a timless look and we would love to see her accentuate her slim but feminine figure. This Zac Posen gown from his Pre-Fall 2012 Collection would be absolutely ba-na-nas on her.
Tuesday Tip: That's a Wrap
Tue, 2012-01-10 17:13 | by AnonymousWhat's the most versatile accessory we can think of that you can wear again and again? A wrap! With this interesting weather we've been having lately (50's in NYC, in January?!) a wrap is the perfect functional piece to throw on for effortlessly chic style.
Our wraps by V. Fraas vary from black to gold to silver, giving you basic options to transition throughout your wardrobe with no trouble at all. We think a wrap pairs beautifully over any one of our designer dresses, and love adding one of our metallic wraps to a basic LBD to add some fun! Traveling? Cozy up to our lurex wraps to not only add warmth on the flight but to look fashion forward like some of our favorite jetsetting celebs!
How will you wrap it up?

Get The Look: Kate Middleton
Mon, 2012-01-09 12:52 | by AnonymousKate and William attended the London premiere of Steven Spielberg's War Horse last night. She wore a gorgeous lace v-neck dress by one of her favorite designers, Alice Temperley. Get Kate's winter-chic look with the Nicole Miller Kate Lace V Dress that is super flattering and an instant classic. Pair with a glitzy cuff from CC Syke and a ladylike Judith Lieber clutch (aptly named the Lady Duchess Bag) for a look fit for a royal.
Happy 30th Birthday Kate Middleton!
Mon, 2012-01-09 12:26 | by AnonymousHappy Birthday Kate Middleton! The Duchess of Cambridge turns 30 today so we thought we'd take a look back at some of her best looks. No doubt a style icon in the making, we love Kate's tailored, crisp look and how she holds herself with grace and humility.
Kate is sailor-prep chic in this Alexander McQueen ensemble. To get her ladylike look, try this Moschino Envelope Shift Dress that will be perfect for any occasion this winter and spring.
During William and Kate's North American trip, she had a plethora of wardrobe changes and always looked put together. We particularly love this navy lace dress on her and you can get the look at RTR with the Tibi Babbet Lace Dress.
This is the dress that Kate wore when she and William announced their engagement. Find your prince at your next event in this Halston Heritage Wrap Dress!
Kate plays up her flirty and fun side in this polka dot wrap dress. For a more casual look, emulate Kate's style in this Moschino Cheap and Chic Ruffle Wrap and Dance Dress.
Behind the Seams: Moschino
Mon, 2012-01-09 10:25 | by AnonymousThis month we go Behind the Seams with Rossella Jardini of Moschino to find out her inspiration behind the latest collection, her favorite fashion trend, and advice for aspiring designers.
.jpg)
Tell me about the Moschino Fall 12 Runway collection.
I had in mind the image of a man sitting in a boat, smiling, and surrounded by his friends. I was inspired by the classic white trousers and the navy double-breasted jacket: the strict elegance of the military uniform and that certain sophisticated good taste.
In the collection the most representative articles of clothing are borrowed from men’s wardrobes, their unapproachable precision transposed into feminine elegance. The exacting style of tailcoats, tuxedos and riding jackets is toned down with a play of precious fabrics and decoration that soften the rigid lines of that man’s world that a woman knows all too well and can wear to perfection.
What is something you dream of achieving but haven’t yet?
To meet and get to know Lady Gaga! She has been wearing Moschino recently and I’m very happy.
How would you describe your own style?
…I’m one of the most elegant women I know…. !! :)
What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
Mixing clothes and accessories in an unexpected way, from Moschino and other brands.
What was your proudest moment as a designer?
My greatest achievement has been maintaining the Moschino legacy.
If you could give advice to aspiring designers, what would it be?
Be patient, work hard, be patient again!

This dress will be coming soon to RTR!
Iris Apfel for MAC
Fri, 2012-01-06 18:41 | by AnonymousWe can't wait to get our hands on Iris Apfel's new line for MAC. The collection is filled with an array of vibrant, tropical corals and turquoise (Apfel's personal favorite) that make us want to jump on a plane to Tahiti. Purchase the line in store or online (but be weary half of the lipstick colours are already sold out!).

Friday Fashion Fun: Proenza Schouler Campaign, Demi Moore on Harpers Bazaar, and more!
Fri, 2012-01-06 17:48 | by Anonymous
Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 Ad Campaign
It's no secret that we're huge fans of Proenza Schouler and we can't get enough of their Spring 2012 Collection ad campaign. Natasha Poly sports some of the line's best looks from the most recent season and if we weren't sure before, retro is here to stay. [Fashionista]
Demi Moore On Harper's Bazaar
After what we're sure has been a difficult few months for the icon, Demi looks stunning as ever on the February cover of Harper's Bazaar. We can personally atest to Demi's wonderful character and humble personality (she stopped by our offices)! [The Cut]

Jason Wu for Target
We all know that 2011 was the year of collaborations but get ready for another website-crashing one in 2012. Here is the first look at Jason Wu's collection for Target, and we love how he is staying true to his classic, streamlined style. The collection hits stores and online February 5, so start getting ready! [Fashionista]

Thursday Obsession: Mila Kunis for Dior
Thu, 2012-01-05 18:06 | by AnonymousMila Kunis was announced as the new face of Dior and we can't stop staring at the gorgeous pictures. She looks super sophisticated and we love this refined look on her. Mila's certainly on the right track, following in the footsteps of past spokemodels such as Marion Cotillard, Natalie Portman, Marilyn Monroe, and Liz Taylor!

Style Spotlight: Rooney Mara
Wed, 2012-01-04 17:27 | by AnonymousAfter her small role in The Social Network, we had a feeling that Rooney would be a regular on the red carpet. Little did we know she'd be picked to star in what will no doubt be one of the best movies of the year, The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo. We can't help but see her as Lisbeth Salander on and off the screen, and the character has no doubt influenced her style. Get her daring, fashion forward look below!
At the premiere of The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, Rooney wore a gorgeous frock from Prabal Gurung's Spring 2012 collection. To get her futuristic yet feminine look, try this geometric Prabal Gurung Dress or a more flirty LDB from the same designer.
Rooney pulls out her soft side with a blush toned chiffon dress. To emulate her ethereal style, try this Rebecca Taylor Strapless Dress or a gorgeous lace cap sleeve Nina Ricci Dress.
Rooney landed the cover of Vogue and they shot her in a beautiful Calvin Klein gown in character as Lisbeth Salander. To get the same sharp, sleek look sport a one-shouldered Calvin Klein number or a long sleeve Calvin Klein dress that sports a keyhole in the back.
