CFDA fashion fund finalist Cushnie et Ochs has released its first ad campaign after showing for 7 seasons. We love how the background shapes complement their signature cutout dresses and dutch model Milou Van Groesen seems to emulate the brand perfectly. [The Cut]

CFDA Mentors

The CFDA has choosen mentors for this year's Fashion Fund honorees Joseph Altuzarra, Pamela Love, and Creatures of the Wind. They will be mentored by Calvin Klein president and CEO Tom Murray, Harry Winston president and CEO Frederick de Narp, and Rag & Bone duo David Neville and Marcus Wainright, respectively. 2 Santacon

The streets of NYC were filled with Santas and reindeer alike on Saturday as the annual "Santacon" was under way. Some RTR staff participated in the festivities (or reindeer games, as you might say) with style - check out Chondita's merry ensemble!

3 New York Times Talks

Mikkel saw Charlize Theron and Jason Reitman Friday night in the New York Times Talks. She loved it and can't wait to see their new film, Young Adult, which hits theaters this weekend. No photos are allowed but they live stream the event so if you're not in NYC, you can still watch!

4 Winter White

You'll definitely be a standout in crisp, winter white for any of your holiday parties this season. Anushka toasted friends in this Yigal Azrouel dress and paired with a Dannijo statement necklace to complete her look.

We love ourselves a good CIA-themed series (Alias, anyone?) and Showtime's Homeland does not disappoint. With Claire Danes as the main character and a thrill-filled plot line this series is a must add to your DVR before the season finale next weekend!

The Hunger Games Designer Sketches

The Hunger Games is one of the most anticipated films of next year, and as avid fans of the books we can hardly wait. Jennifer Lawrence plays the main character, Katniss, who wears a fire dress in one of the most important parts of the story. New Year's Eve, which opens in theaters this weekend, has one of the most star-studded casts we've ever seen and it definitely doesn't disappoint in the rom-com category. Sofia Vergara wears the Catherine Malandrino Modern Queen Elizabeth dress in the film and looks totally stunning. FEED Projects: 12 Days, 12 Ways to Give

Feed Projects has started a "12 Days, 12 Ways to Give" initiative to promote giving back during the holiday season. In its five years of existence the company, co-founded by Lauren Bush Lauren, has been able to give 50 million school meals through the sale of its signature totes and other products. Tuesday night's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show attracted 20 million viewers this year, and for a good reason. Christian Dior Pop-Up Store

Vera Wang tells us her proudest moment as a designer, her inspiration for her latest collection and advice for aspiring designers. Read on to get all the dish from Vera!

Tell me about the latest Vera Wang Resort collection. 

Resort 2012 is all about easy shapes with a definite emphasis on prints. Strong brights counterbalanced by gentle geometrics and dots.

How would you describe your own style?

Personal style for me is, first and foremost, about comfort. If you're not comfortable with who you are, I don't think you can really be stylish. And I think the women who are the most stylish, and the most glamorous, are usually women that are extremely honest with themselves, and feel comfortable being who they are...who they are in their skin, who they are as a human being. And I think that's what style is really about.

            
What was your proudest moment as a designer?

I have many proud moments as a designer, but one of them was winning the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2005... The fact that I actually won was such a shock. When I was nominated, I felt so honored, because it's your peers...Winning that award meant becoming part of fashion history.

If you could give advice to aspiring designers, what would it be?

The best advice I can give is to study it... School is a great place to start, but if that is not accessible to you then try learning it from the ground up: Xeroxing, folding stock in a store, selling - at least you will find out if you really love it by experiencing it first hand. If you already know your path and are fortunate enough to know yourself, the next best thing is to work for a designer, publicist, or publication you truly admire. That way you can learn how multi-faceted the fashion world really is and how each business has its own specific DNA and business model.

Regardless of your passion, most people only begin to truly appreciate their careers, and their lives, as they improve, and grow, and achieve their goals on their own! That is where true satisfaction and dignity lie for all of us. No one can ever take something away from you if you've earned it. That is the beauty of achievement!
