Minka Kelly first came on our radar as Lyla Garrity in Friday Night Lights (one of the greatest TV shows of all time). Although her style is much different in real life, she stuns on the red carpet and off. Having just split with Yankees star Derek Jeter, Minka's sultry and playful style is sure to attract some of hollywood's best. We take a look at some of her best looks, and how you can get them!
Minka sports this playful frock with confidence and pairs it with nude pumps. To get her look, try this Thread Social dress that accentuates the waist with an orange belt.
For a sleeker look, Minka works this black one shouldered dress. Carlos Miele is a master at beautiful silhouettes, and this LBD is no exception.
Minka goes casual with this floral frock - and you can get her look with this dress from Catherine Malandrino. Dress it up with strappy heels or dress it down like Minka with a light scarf and cardigan.
Minka has the perfect body for this Herve Leger dress, and we love the plum color. To get her look try this muted version - the perfect combination of chic and sexy.
Still wondering what you'll wear to that family bbq, country club dinner, or beach party this upcoming weekend? We put together four versatile looks that you can wear more than once in a weekend. Menswear inspired fashion for women has been everpresent on the runways this season, and we wanted to share a few dresses and accessories that emulate this trend perfectly. These frocks are a perfect balance of menswear inspired elements and flirty femininity. Sport one for any occasion this fall and you'll be sure to turn heads.
Bold accessories can do wonders for a simple outfit and we love these menswear inspired pieces:
Adding a pop of color is a perfect way to enhance your menswear inspired look. Use this Red Haute lip color from Lancome to contrast the black and white tones of the dresses above, and try a winged-eye style using this jet black liquid eyeliner.
These crazy flavored ice cream sandwiches are definitely one of a kind - and we're getting our fill while it's still warm out. With flavors like Nutella Toasted Almond and Brown Butter w/Candied Bacon, how can you resist?

Justine can't get enough of this old-time soda fountain located in a beautifully restored 1920's pharmacy. They have delicious ice creams, scoops, and artisinal sodas in addition to grilled cheese sandwiches, soup, and other savories. Justine recommends the Sunday of Broken Dreams.
5 Beyonce Preggers!
Could Beyonce be even more amazing? Proving a baby bump is the best accessory, she delivered a showstopping performance of "Love on Top" at last night's VMAs.
Jenny is on vacation this week in Italy having a fabulously relaxing time at Hotel Quisi in Capri.
Chondita and AJ were lucky to experience the Italian feast while escaping the hurricane with Jenn and Becky.
The US Open starts this week and a few of us can't wait to catch the matches. Katie went to a US Open party that was serving drinks with melon balls - meant to look like tennis balls!
With many of us stuck inside and some without power this past weekend (thanks Irene!) we realized how much we rely on our smartphones. Twitter was an essential resource and Pulse is a great news app that we couldn't live without.
We are drooling over the Missoni for Target lookbook - and counting down the days till the pop up shop opens in Bryant Park on September 8th!
One of our most favorite people of all time, Demi Moore, stopped by our offices last week to learn more about Rent the Runway. The actress/mother/philanthropist is such an incredible role model for women and looked gorgeous in a floral skirt and jean jacket. Jenn and Jenny enjoyed giving her a tour of the offices, and we can't wait for Demi's next visit!
Of any awards show, MTV's Video Music Awards brings out the craziest fashion from the music industry's best. Helmut Lang Street Style
One of our favorite street fashion photographers, Phil Oh, teamed up with Intermix to shoot a few different Helmut Lang looks in NYC's Meatpacking District. We can't get over the downtown-chicness of the shoot, and are so excited to see Helmut Lang's new spring styles. [Intermix]

From politicians and CEOs to cultural icons and fashion mavens, this list illustrates the power and reach that women have. Kudos to our ladies in fashion and entertainment who made this list - not an easy feat!
We couldn't be more obsessed with The Help (book, movie, everything) and new breakout start Jessica Chastain. After starring next to Brad Pitt in The Tree of Life she caught our attention as a unbelievable talent on the silver screen and red carpet. As Celia Foote in The Help her unabashadly provocative style was endearing and we couldn't wait to see what she would wear to the premiere. She choose to complement a beautiful amethyst gown with turquise earrings - this color pairing is perfect to transition to fall. Get her look with this Nicole Miller gown and Kendra Scott earrings.

Jenny was in Portland, Maine for a wedding this weekend and discovered all the best that it has to offer - including chocolate covered bacon and watermelon fudge!
5 Terroir Tribeca
Not once, but twice this week, Christina found herself at Terroir, a sassy little winebar in the heart of Tribeca that boasts a selection of refreshing summer Rieslings at absurdly reasonable prices. Last weekend, our former Sr. Director of HR, Nadia Johnson, tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Oheka Castle on Long Island....Talk about keeping it in the family - 7 people at the wedding were looking lovely in Rent the Runway!
Congratulations to Nadia + her husband David from all of us Rent the Runway! - Jenn

On a recent trip to Ibiza, Jenn and some friends chartered a boat one day and motored over to the gorgeous white-sand isle of Formentera that feels more Caribbean that Mediterranean. You drive your boat up to the restaurant, they come to pick you up in a mini shuttle boat and take you to their paella palace in the sand. No shoes allowed and rose consumption encouraged! Pretty much paradise.

We have to wait until next year for season five of Mad Men, but in the meantime, Banana Republic just released their Mad Men-inspired collection to keep us satisfied. Whether she’s vamping in red or looking sweet in something pastel and sparkly, the girl always looks good. This week we put the spotlight on Cat’s versatile style and ever-changing wardrobe.

Tell us the story behind your latest line.
I once met the Ormsby-Gore sisters. They were the great trendsetters of 1960’s London fashion and EVERYONE followed what they wore. The first thing I wanted to know from them was: Why did the geometric “Mod” style of the early 60’s abruptly turn into the romantic “Dandy” look of the later 60’s? They explained that there was a big auction of the famous Ballets Russes costumes and sets at Sotheby's (in 1967). They couldn't afford the prima ballerina costumes so they bought up the things worn by the “corps de ballet” and started wearing them on the street. At that time, the flea market on Portobello Road was filled with Victorian things- to add into the mix of burnished velvets, antique lace, tarnished lame, gypsy fringe and jewel encrusted tulle…so these were the "stuff" you could find. The recent exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, "Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes" showed film footage of that actual auction. I just loved discovering that, pinpointing the exact moment when a spark of inspiration was the genesis for change…pop culture shifted from the early mod style of The Who, into the peacock dandy style of The Beatles.
What is something you dream of achieving but have not yet?
I’d like to do a Home collection. I’m very interested in interior design.
How would you describe your own style?
My style is not about “age”, it’s more about spirit, and attitude. My mother wears my designs, and so do my nieces (now that they have grown-up enough to fit the clothes). It’s all about having fun, making an effort, opting for a little glamour, not taking yourself so seriously.
What is your favorite fashion trend right now?
I’m liking longer skirts again this summer.
What was your proudest moment as a designer?
I won the CFDA Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.
If you could give advice to aspiring designers, what would it be?
Be true to yourself. That is the key, do what you are best at and learn your craft.
The CFDA welcomes more new designers, Milly does bridal, and Alice Temperley collaborates on a chic travel kit. Read on to get the scoop on what’s happening in the fashion world this week.

She may spend a lot of time in super short cheerleading skirts, but in real life, Dianna Agron favors some more traditional silhouettes. You’ll rarely, if ever, catch her on the red carpet in a mini like most of her Hollywood peers. But while her style may be conservative length-wise, the Glee star does take some calculated risks to keep things interesting (see: Vintage Chanel at the 2011 SAG Awards). Her willingness to mix it up while staying committed to her own ladylike aesthetic convinced us that Ms. Agron deserved to shine in this week’s Style Spotlight.
Sporting a new, shorter do, Dianna looks glam in a black peplum sheath. Get her look in this Lela Rose dress with a bold red lip.
Dianna looks absolutely ethereal in this dove gray gown. Take note and wear this look to a benefit or black tie event this summer.

This quaint West Village favorite is worth the inevitable wait and in the summer its a little less crazy, so swing by on a weekend off from the hamptons. It's BYOB, and our intern Ellen adores the delicious food and cozy atmosphere.
